Seeking Help for Membranous Glomerulonephritis

Posted By Susana Palomeque (Cuenca, Ecuador) on 11/11/2015

I'm sorry I do not speak English well but have excellent references about this site.

I have always considered a very healthy person, I have 49 years and for the first look I feel very helpless and fearful.

These last six months have been terrible for me after the results of the tests carried me and biopsy diagnosed me who suffer from nephrotic syndrome "glomerulonephritis membranous" I have a very high cholesterol, though I'm thin build, plus I have thyroid, to control my disease first I started taking drugs such as Micoflavin (mofetil) 500 mg arriving eat up to 4 in the day, but this treatment was unsuccessful, about a month and a half ago I moved to another is Neoral (ciclosporin) 100 mg, I take two a day. At first it seemed that all was well and even under a lot of swelling, but these two weeks I have felt terribly wrong, causing me a lot of headache and body also upset stomach nausea and vomiting and even diarrhea accompanied by severe pain and around the body, and great hair loss, I feel very weak. I try to eat as little as possible of protein and eat healthy foods like fruits and vegetables, but unfortunately I'm not seeing satisfactory changes in my health. Indeed they do, whether to continue with the latter treatment is causing too many negative disorders in my body, or I do.

Grateful heart to analyze well my case because I really feel terrible.

To Susana Palomeque,

I am sorry I do not speak Spanish perhaps someone will kindly translate this. My daughter also suffers from Nephrotic Syndrome, her type is called minimal change disease. An elderly lady told me her son was cured of nephrotic syndrome in the 1960s by having his tonsils taken out. I thought perhaps some infection in the tonsils was getting into the system and damaging the kidneys, so I had the idea to get her to gargle with apple cider vinegar and then swallow. I was totally astonished to find that it worked. The proteinuria started to drop within 24 hrs. I posted the details on this site in Feb 2015, I am happy to report she has remain healthy off all meds so far. She gargled 3 times per day for 1 month, then once per day for 2 months. The gargle was 1 capful of ACV in a glass of water (whiskey glass size) a capful is approx. 5mls .
