12 year old diagnosed with essential tremors

My 12 yr old son was diagnosed with Essential Tremors approx a year ago. Now that he is getting older it is really having an impact on his self confidence. He is an excellent student and enjoys writing and art but the tremors drastically affect his work. When he grows up he is adamant about being a Doctor or a Veterinarian one day but is quite discouraged at this point due to his tremors. His neurologist is trying to push a prescription medication and I personally don't like the idea so I am trying to seek any alternative options that are available for a pediatric patient. Any feedback is appreciated!

Dear Gianna,

I am wondering if you have tried any of the remedies listed on Earth Clinic's page for essential tremors?

Essential Tremors

Eliminating aspartame (which is hidden in all sorts of things - even children's medications like Tylenol), and removing electronic devices from sleeping area would be my first two things to do.

I would also consider giving him 2 teaspoons of Blackstrap Molasses each day.

Another safe thing that helps with many issues is epsom salt baths. 1 cup espom salt in a warm bath a few times a week.

I hope he is able to resolve this soon!
