Dear Heather:It should be noted that cooking in my house uses alot of coconut oil here and no one here reports anydiarrhea or loose stool. However, loose stool mighthappen if the intestinal tract has a large amounts ofharmful bacteria that the body tries to get rid off.It should be noted that coconut oil can destroy a lotof harmful bacteria, but taking too much can cause thebody to have loose stool, but not enough for adiarrhea since coconut oil can act as a lubricant forthe waste product to come off easier. Over time, thisloose stool should stop with the exception of too muchis used. However, to note whether coconut oil isworkin for you is to noticed the clear skin orimproving skin condition. If the condition doesn'twork itself out, which it usually does, than itindicates the body is excessively acidic, and bakingsoda 1/4 teaspoon twice a day in 1/2 glass of watershould reduced it, but it takes about 2 week for thebody to attain sufficient alkalinity. If the gut isalso high in fungus a major diarrhea is possible witha coconut oil since it kills the fungus too.
