What Nutrients Will Help New Tooth Implants?

Question by James on 06/21/2008

Hello again, I talked with you about a year ago concerning hair loss and overall good health. At that time I was looking into tooth implants and now I'm getting ready to have five (5) put in this coming wednesday. I was wondering if you could advise me as to what nutrients and such to take to help ensure that the implants take to my body. I smoke and I was hoping you could help me with this situation. Anyway, please get back to me as soon as you can if possible. Thank you, James.

Dear James:

Yes, I remember the smoking issues. The strontium is found in the cigarettes and certain heavy metals may interfere with implants. Therefore taking some metal chelators, such as eating some cilantro (chinese parsley) every other day, plus vitamin C sodium ascorbate 1000 mg, and once a month zinc gluconate 50 mg may help. The tissue damage is helped in the repair with vitamin C as it closely relates to healing and collagen. Aloe vera is also helpful in this regard. This should lessen rejection. However in my personal belief is the borax remedy, perhaps once or twice a week adding 1/4 teaspoon of borax per liter of drinking water. The reason is that some rejection were from certain fungal contaminants and mycotoxins which led to rejection and borax is a known anti-fungal remedy.
