Son with Numerous Food AllergiesQuestion by M. on 04/21/2011
As mentioned on my post, my 2nd son who is now 16 months old, has numerous allergies: Tuna, all beans, chicken, dairy (cow & goat), several types of fish, oysters/seafood, oats, almonds, sesame, cranberry etc etc. He is fully breastfed, but as much as I try to avoid potentially allergenic food, it's not easy to find out what the cooks use in the food when I eat out! He gets allergic even to food in my breastmilk, so it is often that Sam ends up waking up every 2-3 hours through the night, crying and not feeling good enough to sleep. He is way below average in height and weight though he is bright and smiley when he is well. To treat his allergies, the only things he take are the enzymes that the cranial oesthopath/nutritionist he sees gives him. I take lots of digestive enzymes in hope that the food in my breastmilk is less allergenic to him. I would appreciate your advice on how to cure him of his allergies and the dosage applicable to such a wee one.
I suspect my elder son (3.5 years old) is also allergic to something because he has a runny nose with clear, liquid mucous on many days but he is otherwise healthy. At first, I wondered why he keeps getting the flu, then I realised it was not the flu, but the runny nose becomes infected and he gets a cough from the back drip. Would Nat's allergies be cured with the same antidote as Sam Another query I have is regarding giving vitamin supplements to my 2 boys. You mentioned in several posts that it is better to rest for 3 days after taking oils for 4 days. Does this apply to vitamin supplements too I have been giving my 2 boys 1 tsp elderberry, 1 tsp cod liver oil and 2000mg of D3, 1 tsp coconut oil every day, and 250mg of sodium ascorbate for Vitamin C. Somehow they still fall sick.
Lastly, (actually I have lots of questions but will control myself), with regards to Vitamin C, do chemical vitamins, e.g. sodium ascorbate/ ascorbic acid, work as well as wholefood vitamins (e.g. brands like megafoods, garden of life), or is there any difference I believe strongly in not vaccinating my boys and have not given them antibiotics. I use propolis to fight infections. Hence, I read with great interest in the work you do. I wish you all the best, as I believe that your best will benefit the world greatly. Thank you so much

I've started to give my boys barley water more regularly and will introduce some barley mixed into their daily meal on a regular basis. I've also ordered Vit B complex and baking powder. Will let you know how it goes after they start on it. I'm not sure where to find gutathione/glutamine/glycine but will try to find similar antioxidants. The sea salt solution does not seem to be working with my elder son though. He's been on it for a couple of days but the nose is still running. The solution is really salty so I add in more water so that he finishes it.
Thanks, and blessings be with you."
Ted replies, "Take the L Histidine if the runny nose is still there."
