As for the neuropathy the common one are the lack of B1 thiamine. I think the thiamine hydrochloride works better. It is taken throughout the day like 100 mg x 6. One of the side effects of neuropathy is unidentified kidney problems. Medical system presently can't check them until you have severe problem by then is too late. But uric acid is often high and that can't be detected since it has to be in the bloodstream, and sometimes are found in the cerebralspinal fluids which causes this condition too, as well as the heart. The best bet is to avoid alcohol and fruits as the common source to uric acid and take dissolving uric acid with 2.5 mg of lithium carbonate or lithium chloride a day, not the 250 mg for bipolar disorder that is way too much. Toxins accumulate and causes this but especially is western diet of anti collagen found in skin of animals. So a good substitute is gelatin from pork skins or beef product, maybe 1 or 2 teaspoon twice a day. The common cause is circulation doesn't reach the extremities is what causing the problem.
Those are common causes, we haven't dealt with arteriosclerosis caused to neuropathy or disc in spinal cord that causes this condition also, or the fact of calcium buildup in the spinal cords. Those are also problem but in majority case is what I mentioned before. The lemon or lime juice at 2 teaspoon per 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda 3 times a day will help some calcification buildup in latter cases.
