Does Potassium Citrate Alkalize at Cell Level?

Question by Joanne (Perth, Australia) on 12/20/2011

Hi Ted, I am taking your Potassium Citrate & Bicarb soda remedy and was wondering if it alkalizes on a cellular level

I have candida and food sensitivities and react to the lime/bicarb & citric acid remedy so was hoping I could use the Potassium Citrate/Bicarb for this. If not should I take MSM

Many thanks Ted for your wonderful contribution.

Joanne

It does alkalize the cells, but with candida it is often a zinc and copper deficiency, I would try 25 mg zinc gluconate and copper in form of copper chlorophyllin. Fungus grows inside the cells. MSM should be taken as it kills the fungus, such as 1000 mg x 3 times a day.

Hi Ted and Bill,

Why are citrate forms of electrolytes better at alkalising the body compared to bicarbonate/carbonate forms of electrolytes

Wouldn't hospitals use the citrate forms instead of the bicarbonate, carbonate forms

Thank you
