I think the herbs you make a tea is the best choice. You can look into https://genuineessiac.com/ as they have the advanced formula and information on why their 8 herb formula is better then the 4 herb formula. Loads of testimonials on their web page. All the best

To receive all the benefits of Essiac tea, it must be left to steep 12 hours in a covered pot.

Hello Flower's Mom,

A few days ago, I decided to visit the vet coz I was kinda worried of the opening below her chin near the throat/neck and an inflamed part protruding where pus keeps coming out and the odor that seems to be getting worse. Vet gave some antibiotics and antiseptic and told me to apply honey to the open wound and not to cover it. As of today, the pus lessened and the odor was gone.

I'm still giving her Essiac twice a day and Seabuckthorn Berry Oil to boost her immune system. Earlier today, noticed that a portion of the tumor did burst. Keep you guys posted. Hoping, praying and keeping my fingers crossed that Essiac will do miracles on her coz my options seems to be running out. Hope this site would allow or post some photos for reference.

Hi Jessa,

I administered Essiac for one of my older dogs who had developed a few small tumors. I gave her the tea orally every day as well as rubbing the tea bags over the lumps before putting them into the compost. The tumors reacted to the treatment by first getting bigger, and then by opening up and draining before they really showed any signs of shrinking or drying up. During the time when they were draining, etc. I placed some gauze or a bandage over them to keep her from licking or irritating them, but all in all, they really did not seem to bother her, so she pretty much left them alone. All during this time, her demeanor, appetite and energy levels did not change. I would not give her any antibiotics as the tea seems to me to be working, but I would give her something for immune support. Also, I always pray over my babies, laying my body over theirs, sharing your heart, life and light energy to her for added strength. Bless you and let us know how she is doing.

I have a 13 yr old chow who has an oral tumor the size of a peanut when I first noticed it last november 2017, tried bringing it to the vet but explained that surgery was a risk coz of my dog's age and chemo was definitely out of the question for I'm aware of its side effects and thus no guarantee. Tried different kinds of natural treatment along the way but to no avail.

As of this day, tumor is about the size of a baseball. A few weeks ago, I happen to stumble on your website and found out about Essiac Tea, tried giving it at 20ml twice daily for about a week now and I noticed that underneath the chin there was swelling and that started to open and light reddish fluid along with some pus seeping out. Intense odor coming from her mouth and the pus I guess.

Good thing coz her appetite, energy and all seems normal like the usual. As for the tumor, still too early to tell the difference if its shrinking. Any advice, if this is a normal effect of Essiac on tumors? and is there a need to give antibiotics for the pus or will Essiac do the trick?

Hi! I am loving this website and am so appreciative of the helpful information it contains! Thank you!!

In December of 2016 my almost 12 year old male terrier mix was diagnosed with a mass in his "cheek"... a terrible place to try and treat because he won't let me near it! He had the mass removed the week of Christmas and I opted to not have it biopsied because I knew I would not subject him to chemo/radiation, and the cost was already very high for the surgery. Prior to the surgery, I started making his food and treating him with turmeric, coconut oil, medicinal mushroom powder, food grade H2O2, and everything I could think of to try and boost his immune system and possibly shrink the mass. After the surgery, I continued with the same routine. At his last check up, the mass had already started to come back... so I started Rascal on essaic tea. This was about a month ago. I thought at first that the tumor was drying up, but then it seemed to grow larger and he had a very stinky clump of fur/dried blood... that formed and drove him crazy. Every time I tried to get near him to try and treat it, he would run. Fortunately, it fell off (FINALLY) the beginning of this week, and underneath is a VERY bright red spot that seems to be "swelling". Should I continue with the essaic? I am trying to get him to sleep on the side where I can see it so that I can try and drop some castor oil on it... I have also ordered Artemisinin and K9 Immunity which will be here tomorrow! Please help! He has a GREAT appetite, his eyes are bright and he doesn't appear to be in pain, although he is licking his paws incessantly... my funds are limited, but I am desperate to try and get rid of the cancer. We just moved back to Nashville 6 months ago and lost our sweet female dog 10 days after we got here... we were devastated. The thought of losing another beloved pet makes me so sad.

My Journey with Jinx and Her Cancer

May 2015 noticed large lump - came up overnight about the size of a half golf ball; took Jinx to vet next day. She thought it was an abscess so cut it open to drain and put in drain tube. When she started she noticed that it didn't have the consistency of an abscess and sent the tissue to be biopsied. When the results came back it turned out to be a very aggressive type of fibrosarcoma. Possibly vaccine related.

One week later I took Jinx to the Oncology specialist, Dr. Macy, He said they could remove the left hind quarter; but, there was a 50/50 chance it would come back. We decided to try to slow it down with medication (Proxicam) and keep her comfortable. She was put on Proxicam and given a chemo drug (Lomastine) one every 3 weeks along with blood tests to check her white blood cell count.

This caused the tumor to shrink substantially; but it started to get bigger again after about 3 months. I had started her on 1/2 capsule of Essiac tea, twice a day, at the same time. They tried three other chemo drugs during the next 4 months; non of them seemed to slow the growth of the tumor. She was taking the essiac all through this. She never had any adverse reaction to any of the chemo.

In December 2015, when the tumor was getting very large(about the size of my fist) I decided to gradually increase her dosage of Essiac and the Dr. stopped the chemo treatments and said he didn't think there was any more they could do. I was told to keep her on the Proxicam and that I would know when it was time to put her to sleep....... she would stop eating and groonming.

It is now January 2016

I had increased the dose of essiac to 1 1/2 capsule twice a day. The tumor started to get very soft in the center (it had been a hard solid mass) and in a few days started to open and seep. At first it was a light clear reddish fluid, then turning clear. At first there was no odor at all. After a couple of days it seemed to start to smell and she got quite lethargic. Still eating though. It is now completely open and the tumor looks to be receding.

I called the vet and started her on Amoxicillin. She immediately improved and the odor of the drainage went away. It continuing to drain and has decreased in size by about 1/3 (2 weeks after the chemo was stopped.) I have been spraying it with Veterycin a few times a day to help keep it from getting infected. I really think she had the infection in her body before this started to drain; but I'm not sure.

She is acting so much more normal and it appears to me that this tumor is purging itself. The hole are filled with a substance that looks very much like chicken fat only white. It doesn't seem to hurt and Jinx is cleaning regularly. I think this is removing the necrotic skin as it dies. She has really had a boost energy in the last few days.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? I would like to see what I might expect next.

I just wanted to update on Khaki, my Himalayan. She continues to improve. Her appetite is better and her breathing is much better. I really thought I was going to have to put her down. I can only conclude that the Essiac is the reason for her miraculous improvement. I don't like to get my hopes up, especially with lymphoma, but if she can have a few more healthy months (or years) thanks to Essiac tea, then I am very grateful. Don't give up hope and give this a try if your pet has been diagnosed with cancer.

I have a 11 years old Golden Retriver Tahoe. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on her right front leg two weeks ago. After the initial diagnosis, shoe couldn't walk anymore and limped badly. The only time she would stand up and walked a little bit is two meal time and potty time. She lost weight, had reduced appetite even though I started to feed her homemade meal after the diagnosis. Most time she just lie in her bed and seemed in pain and listless. Three days ago, I started to give her 60ml Essiac tea twice daily on empty stomach. I can see her condition improved just after one dose of the tea. After two doses of the tea, she walked outside with me for two blocks after dinner. This was the first time she ever walked since the initial diagnosis. Now, after three days of taking Essiac tea, her limp improved a lot. She walks twice a day, finishes her meal completely, go potty twice a day, and seemed gain back some weight. I am so grateful of the site caninecancer introducing Essiac tea to me and my lovely dog Tahoe. I am keeping my fingers acrossd and hoping Tahoe will make a full recovery and put the cancer into remission.

I have to say, I did use the 8-herb formula, and had great results, so I'd advise that it's NOT dangerous. My 16-yr-old Himalayan (cat), who was given 6 wks to 6 mos to live by our vet, lived to be 19 years old - largely, I'm convinced, due to the Essiac "knock-off" I was giving him!

Many thanks to such a great site, for humans and our four-legged companions! I have a dog, Lady, who developed a lump on her back just above her tail. Her hair did not grow in that area and the growth often looked swollen and lumpy. I did not want anyone to cut it as it might spread, and I did not want to traumatize my little girl, so, upon the advice of a naturopathic chiropractor I go to, who is also an animal lover, he suggested I give her Essiac. I started stirring a tablespoon of the concentrated tea into her food twice a day. I home brew the tea and therefore have a lot of the thickened herbs left over, so one day I decided to just put a glob of the herbal substance right on the growth. I held it there for a while to make sure it would not slip off. I kept putting some more on it each day for about a month, while continuing to give her the tea in her food. The growth has completely dried up, but I continue to give her a tablespoon of the liquid once a day to make sure it does not come back. I hope that is helpful.

Barbara from Tempe, Az. Yes, Essiac is perfect for Minnie. It must be taken at least for six months twice a day on empty stomach. Diet should include lots of turmeric and some powdered vit C. I used Essiac to rid a friend's dog of suspected cancer of the spleen. It was gone after six months. The dosage depends on the weight of the dog. In her case it could be one ounce in warm water. You can brew the tea yourself. The website for Essiac will give much assistance. The herbs have to have the roots attached! My shepherd voided a black jelly like mass after some weeks of usage as the tea detoxifies the entire body. No need to worry but pay attention to clean and wholesome diet.

My own feelings about raw food is that even the meat of grassfed animals is not free of GMO's as they are all fed with that kind of formula which is done everywhere. So my dogs eat lamb or chicken but the problem remains re GMO's. Lots of raw vegs. And VCO one tablesp. At least. You may want to include kelp powder and nutritional yeast. Good luck. Om

Essiac has helped many our of dogs and cats for years. We just use the 4 herb formula but it has saved lives and done wonders for our furry friends. Our elderly dogs and cats have it daily as a regular part of their diet. We make ours a little stronger so less is needed to get a good amount in them each day and up to three times and day for the very sick or injured. Don't hesitate. Essiac is a staple in our home.

Two years ago, my yellow lab toots, was diagnosed with thyroid and had a lump the size of a golf ball on her throat. The vet said she would only live about three months. She had lost about 14 lbs. We were heart broken as she was only five years old. We began giving her essiac in capsule form. After three months, the tumor had shrunk to the size of a pea. Two more months later, all of her weight came back on and the tumor was completely gone. Took her to the vet and he was astonished. He couldn't find A SIGN OF CANCER IN HER ANYWHERE. We were giving her six capsules daily and have now cut it back to one a day. She is full of energy and I am looking forward to many more years with her at my side.

My 7 year old male boxer was diagnosed with a benign tumor on the roof of his mouth about 6 weeks ago. The vet said he would have to eventually be put down as the tumor grew because it was inoperable in that location.

I did some research online and saw this website. I went to my local herb store and the owner gave me tea for him. The brand name of the tea is 'Now', the tea itself is called 'Ojibwa'. It has all the same ingredients as the Essiac tea. He would not drink it, so we soaked his dry food in it twice a day and then he ate it fine.

Yesterday the tumor started bleeding rather heavily on and off all day. I was sure I was going to have to have him put down. I am happy to report that today the tumor turned white, and then a few hours later it fell off. I am shocked that his mouth looks completely normal.

Later for the doubters of natural cures, I know some do work. My beautiful, intelligent 9 year old Westhighland White Terrier had a lump on her upper right leg about a year ago-then aged 8. The Vet did EXPENSIVE surgery, blood tests and biopsy. The diagnosis was a canine cancer which is localized-cannot recall the name right now-hermangioma something or other. The diagnosis was that she would have a re-occurence of the lump so the VET encouraged me to take her for radiation/chemotherapy or an amputation-no way, Jose! I resolved to never allow surgery on her again. Immediately next day began my pup on daily ESSIAC and nightly castor oil packs; she now has ESSIAC about twice a week. The lump has not come back-thank goodness for Nurse Caisse.

Cancer and Essiac Tea and FOCC (Flaxseed Oil and Cottage Cheese):

My boxer pit bull mix was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of his right shoulder last September. This is extremely metastastic and spreads to the lungs quickly, and in 95% of the cases, by the time of diagnosis it is already in the lungs. I initially did not amputate because he was 12-1/2 years and the vet said the prognosis was so poor. I immediately started him on 1 cup total a day of essiac tea (made by Resperin company, as research on internet said you should buy from the original company) and 1 cup total of cottage cheese a day mixed with 4 - 6 tbsp of fresh cold flaxseed oil a day, divided in 2 doses. He was still alive 5 months later which is almost impossible, but the bone tumor did not disappear and was causing him pain. I decided to amputate but docs wanted x-rays first to see if his lungs were full of cancer. There was NONE. He is a 3 legged, cancer free 13 year old happy dog today. The vets can't even explain it, and will not acknowledge it had anything to do with holistic treatments, only to say it is a fluke that it did not spread. They said he will at this point die of some other old age related dog disorder. :)

11 year old female cat diagnosed with hemangioscarcoma on 12/3/08. Tumor was on her spleen and was the size of a clemantine. Because of tumor size, the vet gave her 1 to 3 months to live. He removed both tumor and spleen, ultrasound showed no mass anywhere else and lungs were clear but gave no hope. Couldn't find much info on feline cancer/natural cures other than this site. They only do studies on dogs and cats respond differently. I made my own plan of treatment and she is thriving as of 2/11/09. She plays with her toys and runs around after my other cats daily, hasn't done this for years! Coat is the most beautiful I have seen it.

Immediately got her on Essiac Tea (Esiack Caps 450mg by Now Foods) 1-450mg cap in morning 1 hour before her breakfast and 1-450 cap 1 hour before her dinner. It is important to take on an empty stomach, 1 hour before meals or 2-3 hours after eating. I mix 1 cap in 1 ml of water in a small glass that I allow to sit for hours (while at work and again over night). To administer, I suck the Esiak Tea back in the plastic syringe. I kneel and sit on my feet, trapping her between my knees with my ankles crossed so she can't back out. I pull her chin up slightly and squeeze it into the side of her mouth between teeth and cheek. I also have her on 1/5 cap (at both feedings) of maitake mushroom (NewChapter Organics veg cap- 1000mg?) to build immunity. She takes Transfer Factor Tri-Factor Formula (4Life) which is only natural transfer factor from cow colostrum and egg yolk (think mother's first milk) also a powerful immune booster. This is not lactose free but 4Life makes one that is for cats with inflammatory bowel. A 300mg cap Tri-Factor administered 1 cap per day first week, 2 caps per day 2nd week and 3 caps per day week 3. Stop at 3 caps daily. This will pass the blood/brain barrier important for brain cancers. All above are human grade elements that will do no harm. All (except Esiak) are mixed in with her food. Vet prescribed a pet vitamin in liquid form-Pet-Tabs Iron-plus due to her severe anemia, 1 ml daily for 21 days after surgery which I also mixed in her food and stll give her half dose of till the bottle will be done. Very important* took her off all grains and cheap grocery store brand foods. I feed Pet Guard brand (health food store). She can't tolerate chicken so she eats only the Premium Choice beef at the moment. I credit Essiac Tea, Transfer Factor and my begging prayers to God daily as to why she is still with me.

About four months ago, my 14-year-old cat was diagnosed with mammary cancer. Although her prognosis was poor, I declined any conventional treatment, and instead chose to try the natural remedies from this wonderful web site. First, I started giving her Essiac 4-herb supplements: capsules mixed in with food (1/2 cap. 3x day) and the Essiac concentrate diluted with a bit of boiling water (3:1) to evaporate the alcohol level. Both were purchased at herbal-healer.com and I am infinitely grateful to Gayle from Tulsa for sharing this remedy with all of us. I administered the Essiac concentrate, approx. 1/2 to 1 eye dropper full, once per day. Within a week, I observed a significant improvement in my cat's overall health. She has gained weight, became more energetic and playful. The most exciting change I have noticed happened within the past 2 weeks: my cat's tumor began to shrink in size! It was the size of a walnut and now I can barely feel it. However, I should point out that Essiac is not the only supplement I gave to my kitty (although I feel it was the most influential). Some of the other things I started giving her daily are: fish oil, astragalus capsules, beta glucans, milk thistle capsules... all approx. 1 capsule/day in several feedings. I also give her about 1/2 of a grinded apricot kernel per day- it should be initiated with an even smaller amount to avoid toxicity, and then gradually increased...(please research this remedy for yourself and administer very carefully to avoid possible side effects!) I want to also mention the importance of changing your cat's diet to a low-carb, high protein type. Two of my cat's favorites are EVO and Wellness. Lastly, to help my kitty heal, I've switched her from tap water to spring water (to which I regularly add a few drops of liquid stabilized oxygen) and her cat litter is now also the less toxic kind, called Swheat Scoop. The amount of all these vitamins, supplements, and herbs may seem overwhelming to you at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually quite doable... especially when it's your beloved pet's life that we are talking about!

I wanted to share my experience with castor oil. One week ago I discovered a large lump on the throat of my dog, the size of a golf ball. Remembering I had found info about castor on your site, I quickly started aggressively applying it to the tumor. I personally have been brewing and drinking essiac tea for years. I keep the left over sludge and started putting that in my dogs food. Remarkably, the tumor is now gone. A little of a week has passed and after applying the castor oil almost 5 times a day. Thank you so much. On a side note, I have been using the oil on my face for beautiful skin, on my strained veins on my legs, which have been disppearing, and my mother in law's dog with tumors also as well as an enlarged liver, has been applying it to her dogs tumors and liver area, after a visit to the vet, the second tests showed the liver had shrunk to normal.

Over 3 years ago, our cat, Flora, developed a mass (tumour) in her abdomen and lost a significant amount of weight. She was about 12 years old at the time. I started giving her a dropper of concentrated essiac tea once a day and mixing about 1/2 teaspoon of the powdered herbs in her food. The tumor went away and she put weight back on. She is now 15 years old and doesn't look or act like a 15 year old cat. I've continued to give her the dropper of concentrate at least once a week up to every other day. I've also given the powdered essiac herbs to our dog for allergy eye drainage that would easily get infected. Since we started the dog on this, her allergy eye problem has been gone for over a year now. Again, about 1/2 tsp once a day.
