Apple Cider Vinegar has changed my skin completely. I suffer from adult acne and drinking this daily has transformed my skin. I can't believe I hadnt tried this before
ORGANIC apple cider vinegar: for facial toner . 1 part to 2 parts filtered water. works better than any other cleanser/ toner I've bought (even ones up to $120) or mixed myself. clears up acne, hives on skin during allergic reactions.
use to treat warts- apply with soaked cotton wool ball dilated but strong as you can handle. I use the toner or I'm feeling brave, 1:1 with water. warts fall off and don't return after two sessions or a cpl days.
great for digestive Complaints
it also clears infected tonsils within a day if you gargle it doesn't 30 secondsat least three times I day- after Meals. helps with gum disease and bad breath.
too many reasons to love it. tonnes more uses. and zEro side effects!! Natural and affordable.
I diluted apple cider vinegar with green tea and took ACV capsules for two days. My post menopausal skin never recovered from chemo. Skin was red spotty and sore. Two day later the improvement is amazing. I just wipe the acv/green tea solution overy my face with a cotton wool pad. Takes seconds makes fantastic changes in no time at all. x
Apple cider vinegar is fantastic for the skin...especially internal intake....start with 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar and 4 tsp water...mix and drink before meals....i do it morning and night...you cannot imagine how much it has helped me..
I've had acne problems for years.. I'm 46 now and until 2 months ago I was struggling to control break outs!!! Since I started this regimen....I don't feel the need to worry about my skin anymore. Though the only thing that's left now is pigmentation which I can already feel is lighter...I'm hoping that goes away!!
Please mix Apple Cider Vinegar with baking soda to make a paste (not tooo thick) and apply it to your face and neck. wash off after 5-10 min (i keep it for 10 min). its for exfoliation. I follow it up with a vitamin C serum and oil free moisturizer. You can use any kind of night serum (i do it before going to bed).
Do this once a day for 3-4 months. There is no instant solution to marks except makeup. Everything takes time.
i did this for 3 months and it helped with my marks and unevenness around chin.
I have read that organic apple cider vinegar toner will make your skin at its best if not perfect. It will balance the ph level of our skin, alkaline and no pimples, glowing and other good benefits to skin.
I never had acne in my life but when after weeks of detoxifying my body, cystic acne came out all over my forehead. I read a lot of testimonials online about its good effect on our face and to acne, so I bought a bottle of organic apple cider vinegar. I am supposed to dilute with water but I applied ACV undiluted on my forehead every night. My acne cleared and left me with scars. It was difficult looking at my skin like this. All people would notice my forehead. I thought it will make my skin nicer than it was so I applied ACV toner this time I mixed 50/50 of ACV and water mixture every night.
But to my dismay, all the good things I read about ACV Toner from people who have tried it never happened to me. In my 22 days of using ACV toner and organic coconut oil as moisturizer, my cheeks became red looks like I have mild rashes, uneven skin tone on my chin looked black to me, my pores are still there and it's creating a dot dot red, acne scars didn't fade. My skin on my face looked very, very dry and it looked dehydrated, dull and old.
Now I stopped using the toner. I thought of putting more water to my mixture but I am afraid to use it again. I am trying to heal my face with organic honey as my facial wash and nothing else.
I feel like I am the only one who had these reactions. Maybe I should not use this since I don't have acne. I wanted to use this to balance my ph level on my face since I've used so many chemicals on my face before. Should I really stop using ACV toner?
I have been drinking ACV in water twice a day for about a month for allergies. The first thing I noticed was that my skin started glowing. Then the acne prone skin near the corner of my mouth went away. I love this stuff!
I found a great ACV toner idea on youtube. Instead of plain water mixed with the ACV, use brewed green tea instead. Most people dilute the ACV 50/50 with the water or green tea, and might use 2 parts water or tea to 1 part ACV if you are sensitive to the vinegar. I use organic ACV and organic green tea.
For about two months I have been using baking soda as a body cleanser rather than soap, and as a hair cleanser rather than shampoo. I rinse my hair with diluted Apple Cider Vinegar and then again with water straight from the shower head, sometimes doing a final rinse with distilled water. Since using baking soda as an exfoliant and cleanser on both my body and face, my skin has cleared up a lot, especially my chest, which had been broken out for sometime, due to toxin die off, I suspect. I simply make a paste in my hand by adding a little bit of water to the bs. But today I used the diluted Apple Cider Vinegar that I was about to rinse my hair with to make the paste, rather than just water. My face has felt great all day. On days when I feel like it, I use a mixture I came up with. It consists of baking soda, vco, and a bit of tea tree oil. It cleanses, exfoliates, and moisturizes all at once. I made a mixture of this, minus the baking soda, for my step father, who had a bad red rash on his face. Not sure if it was rosacea, psoriasis, or what... but the Virgin Coconut Oil and tea tree oil returned his face to normal.
hi, i have just been trying out AVC for the dry flaky skin I have been getting around my nose and eyebrows, which has been working wonderfully - I just soak a makeup pad with it and wipe my face all over. Doesnt use much, and I see all the grime it picks up on the pad:) I dont wash my face but then moisturise with a few drops of almond oil infused with lavendar essential oil. The oil scent helps get rid of the vinager smell which is faintly there while the AVC is still moist on the face. for the oil, I use a 25ml dropper bottle.
i tried almond oil after I ran out of the rosehip oil that I had been using previously, which is meant to be really good for skin. But almond oil has been really light and great (i prefer it to the heavier olive oil or coconut oil), and scentless so I can just drop a few drops of whatever essential oil if I want a scent - then use it on my face or legs at night, or as a lovely easy massage oil!
when I asked about moisturising skin, the naturopath at my local health store told me that topical solutions are good, but basically if you want good skin, the best remedy is to have a good diet. She advised me to drink lots more water and make sure my diet was more alkaline. the best but most drastic remedy for beautiful skin was when I stuck to a totally sugarfree raw food diet for about a week (basically salads, pickles, fermented food and nuts; no fruit or sweet veggies such as carrots, beetroot or corn), my skin improved drastically, and everyone commented how fresh and young my skin looked.
Hi, I started using ACV vinegar about 3-4 weeks ago. I was hoping that it would help with allergies, sinus problems, digestive issues, weight loss and if my skin looked a little clearer that would be great too!
I think its too early to tell if the ACV has helped with the allergies, sinus, weight loss etc. But I can say it has absolutely improved my complexion. I didn't have acne problems before, but always looked a little pale. After about 3 days of ACV, my skin looked like it was glowing. I used to get maybe a pimple a week, maybe more around my period. And now I have only had one or 2 in the last month!
Also, if you are having trouble adjusting to the taste, as I did, try 2 tsp. In boiling water with a bit of honey. The hot water tones down the taste drastically, its actually enjoyable, like a hot apple cider, ok not quite, but pretty close ;-)
I mix two tablespoons of _____s apple cider vinegar (ACV) with a dash of boiling water in a small bowl, using cotton wool I dab it all over my face every other day. This is fantastic for your skin and complextion. Excellent for acne or uneven skin tone, blemishes etc. Also if you ever get shingles use ACV on them, works amazinly well, a little bit stingy, but results are incredible! Much better than any prescribed creams.
I am sold! I am 31 and have tried everything for my oily, acne-prone skin for over 15 years, including Retin-A, tetracycline, any and all OTC products, Proactive, even Accutane. The easiest, best, healthiest, least expensive, and happiest thing I've ever used was a simple solution of ACV, 1 part ACV to 4 parts water. I came up with this ratio after trying it full strength... that worked for a couple days but then my poor little face turned red! Didn't hurt, just red.
Not gonna lie, it is quite a strong smell and my hubs doesn't like it. So I only use it in the morning so he doesn't have to smell it in bed at night. I shake up my jar, rub it on with a cotton ball, and hop in the shower. I rinse my face after I shampoo my hair and that seems to work well. I've been rubbing a bit on coconut oil in as a moisturizer after showering and that works well, too.
No joke! My skin looks much more even and smooth. My pores truly look smaller. I am still in disbelief. But the VERY BEST PART is after using this for a couple of weeks, I noticed my face is not consistenly a puddle of oil all day long. It doesn't feel dry at all, but the oil is GONE. And those wrinkles that have just started getting a bit deeper across my forehead look less dramatic for sure.
Try it. It will make your skin look happy! And when your skin looks happy, you are happy! And when you are happy, everything is just plain better. Give it a whirl!!!
I am eager to try Apple Cider Vinegar as a toner. On another note, I have been using almond oil on my face for adult acne. It is not an instantaneous "miracle cure", but it works much better than expensive oils and creams and definitely keeps the acne under control!
After just 3 days of cider vinegar and honey drink my complexion had taken on a much healthier glow and I felt brighter. Trying to loose weight and can't see any change there. I find it a really nice warm winter drink.
Carrie I do almost the same as you, the 1/2 ACV 1/2 water spray bottle and the baking soda as an exfoliant, sometimes a add borax to the baking soda and I don't exfoliate as frequently as you do. I thought I noticed smaller pores, better complexion, but I didn't think much. Last Saturday a customer asked me if I've had a peeling or dermabrasion done. She said she could see a difference on my skin with my acne scars and complexion. So now that I know it is not my imagination I'll definitely make sure I keep doing this and exfoliate more often. Thanks EC!!!
I have been using a facial toner of 1/2 ACV and 1/2 water, put into a small spray bottle. I spray this on my face in the mornings and evenings. Every other day, I exfoliate my face with baking soda. I have seen a big difference! My skin tone is even, pores are much smaller, and skin looks great! The only drawback is that others in my household don't appreciate the smell of vinegar wafting thru the air.
Could someone tell me how long I have to drink ACV to see the results? I've started drinking it 6 weeks ago and my skin got worse!! I also use it as a toner and nothing!! Should I continue drinking it? Thanks
I have been using Apple Cider Vinegar lightly dampened on a cotton ball as astringent after a baking soda scrub for my acne prone skin and my face looks amazing. Sometimes i will replace acv with witch hazel and i get similar results. I started using the face mask consisting of honey, lemon juice, salt, acv, & cinnamon and i think its wonderful just mix and leave on for 10 minutes a couple times a week. No more spending outrageous amounts of money on acne products that only half work.
Apple cider cleared my headache and my skin's become beautiful and the pore has close since I have taken ACV with BS but it was giving my stomache bloated and gasy, then I started taking ACV BS with honey, I have no more bloating or gasy. Thanks for the nature's gift and earth clinic. God you, all!
Here is a healthy tip for skin/ general health. I use ACV on a cotton ball and apply it to the face daily. It cleans and alkalinizes the body and dissolves oil. There is no need for soap and you get your intake of healthful vinegar.
Being a women in her late 40's (49) I worry about wrinkles, age spots and skin tone.
Recently I started using olive oil to clean my face and for moisture and it works well; but since I have added ACV it is working even better.
What I do is mix ACV half and half with water and add a few drops of lavender essential oil. I also add a few drops of lavender EO to my extra virgin olive oil. I keep them both in separate glass bottles.
I wet my face and take a cotton ball and turn the bottle of ACV upside down on it til the pad is pretty damp. Then I do the same thing with the EVOO bottle on top of the ACV on the cotton ball.
Then I use this cotton pad to wipe my face clean. It really cleans well and has a cooling feeling from the ACV.
After I finish cleaning I rinse my face with water and then massage the remaining Extra Virgin Olive Oil into my skin.
Occasionally I will first scrub my wet face with a tiny bit of baking soda and then use this method.
Using this method has made my skin feel much smoother and an age spot that was lingering has finally disappeared. Also my crows feet are softened and my skin seems much more vibrant and alive!!!
About 2 months ago I started to take apple cider vinegar. I mixed it with water and sipped throughout the day. After a few days I noticed that the oil build up around my nose disappeared and that my skin definately looked better. I stopped for about three weeks and about one week into the break my skin began to get oily again. I have started taking it once more and within 6 days my skin is healthy and the oil is gone!

First I want to say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SITE! I discovered it 2 years ago and I swear that everything I've tried (with a few twists of my own) has done wonders for extremely gorgeous skin, energy level and overall health. One thing that I can accredit the many compliments I receive on my skin is ACV and VCO. I religiously do is tone my face with ACV twice a week (have been doing so for 2 years now). The first two times it felt like my face was on fire and I couldn't bare it, but I figured to take away the burn by adding something soothing to it to help balance it out. I add a teaspoon of pure honey and a tablespoon of half of a mashed banana and then about 3 or 4 drops of ACV. I dab it on my face with a cotton ball then I smear it all over the face as if I'm softly rubbing it in. I can still my feel my face tingling a bit and a light sensation (kind of like a noxema sensation), but it doesn't burn anymore and the redness isn't half as bad and normally goes away shortly after washing off. My skin is to die for after I wash it off. I moisturize my face with VCO. People (even strangers) always ask what I use on my skin.
Reaction to ACV? I stumbled upon your site earlier today while researching natural remedies for sensitive skin and came across the topic of using apple cider vinegar to cure it. I haven't actually consumed any of it just yet, but I used it after I rinsed my face with water. I put it on a cotton ball and gently rubbed my whole face, except around my eyes. I have very sensitive skin and have been struggling to find a remedy that doesn't provoke flushing/redness and burning. I think I have mild rosacea and the past two weeks for me have consisted of trying various EXPENSIVE products in hopes of finding a quality product to do the following:
-even out my skin tone because it's often blotchy/reddish in spots -get rid of black heads (nose and chin are covered) -brighten up my skin (it looks rather dull and lifeless) -control the breakouts I get occasionally -and lastly, to find a moisturizer that's not too oily but makes my skin look supple and young, as it should for a 24 year old female who drinks lots of water, doesn't tan at all, doesn't smoke and rarely drinks. (My skin looks like I'm older than I am, sadly.)
Anyhow, I digress. I applied the ACV, rinsed with cool water and for the first five minutes or so, it was fine. No problem, I though, this might just work. Well, after applying some Origins moisturizer that I haven't previously had a reaction to, my face immediately started to tingle and I could literally watch it turn red. Now it's puffy in patches and looks like I have sun burn. I'm just wondering if it's possibly a reaction to the ACV alone or if it's the combo of the moisturizer in addition to the ACV.
Any suggestions are more than welcome. I'm at my wits end with my skin. I just want it to look healthy!
I just can't get enough of your website. I started the ACV, drinking 2-3 tblspn in a tall container of water. I do this all day long and hooked. My skin is clearer and the tone is rosy. I also started the baking soda scrub for my face, morning and night. Now that is all I use, even for my showers. I just got a tall shaker bottle and fill it up - no more soap. Not only are my pores smaller, but skin is smoother (acts like an exfolliant). Thank you everyone for your input.
I have been drinking the ACV with BS and honey for a week and feel great...less wrinkles... Want to know what is oil pulling. More power to Earth Clinic...
Before ACV, I suffered from being over weight and acne prone skin. I discovered ACV from a good read and decided to give it a try due to its many benefits. I drink a tspn before each meal (except breakfast). The results are wonderful! My energy level went up, and I also lost weight. It wasn't an overnight success, but it worked! Just recently my husband suggested I put some on a cotton ball and use it for a couple of flare ups I had. And that was last week. Today, I can stand here and honestly say, my pores shrunk and my face is glowing. Needless to say, I've used it as a toner. I've never felt so confident.
For about two weeks I watched my dad drink and eat all manner of things he saw on earth clinic. Soon, I saw a difference in him. His face glowed(ACV / Tomato tea), he didnt have acid reflux any more and was the most lively and fun dad I'd ever known in a long time ( compared to tired stressful, busy!).
I've got two q's.
How can I take baking soda as an exfoliator/drink?
Also, I drank ACV and I saw differences such as more energy, and I am not restless at night any more. I then found out ( on E.C.) that i can use it as an exfoliator and tried it. Sadly, on my nose I got burns which my parents describe as 'acid burns'. i also got these on my cheek. For this I used cucumber and variuos face masks.the burns on my cheek dissapeared but because I itched/scratched my nose-burn, the scar remained. It look HORRIBLE. my dad says I put too much AcV, which I now understand I did do. But I only did so because the amount was not stated. Is there anything I can do get rid do get rid of it or do I have to do the hard thing and WAIT for it to heal? It does look VERY awful! Thanx!
