4. Sick Headache, Camphor Application for.-"A very simple but effective remedy is a cloth wet with spirits of camphor and sprinkled with black pepper applied to the head gives almost instant relief.

At my witt's end, I found a bottle of Camphor Spirits I had bought at the Piggly Wiggly many years ago. I poured about a teaspoonful into a small bowl. Used a cottonball and dipped it into the camphor spirits to soak it all up. I rubbed the cottonball all over my forehead, temples, around my eye sockets, cheeks, nose, around my ears front and back, and back of my neck.
I must say, about 15 minutes later the headache had eased up about 80%. I went to bed and when I woke up, the pain level was at about 10% of what it was yesterday, so I reapplied this morning and in about 15 minutes it almost gone...
Granny was right....
