I've had gout for 20 years. 1st in big toe, over the years it moved up my body each time: knees, ankles, elbows, wrists, hands, fingers, shoulders, toes, hips, neck. Only my spine left now. get it in multiple joints, and cannot move for up to 6 weeks ata time. No matter what I eat. I don't drink. Cherries, ginger, all of it, nothing changed it. I refuse to be glued at the hip to the lying-murdering parasitic-medical/pharmaceutical gate keepers, begging for medicine every few months, so they can get paid for a 10c signiture & go home feeling like a hero everyday. Rich. I thought I had cancer, only thing I could afford was bi-carb as far as out of industry cures goes. so I tried it. 5 months later my issues were gone, I dont know, I had no scans but was willing to die rather than visit those evil cold hearted gutless bastards. A freind said to me...u havnt had gout much lately. I used to get it non stop. ok for 2 weeks max, down for 6, repeat. all year. I hadn't had it for 5 months when he said this to me. he asked, "u changed your diet have you"? "no. But yeah thats weird. I didnt realise. preoccupied that christmas with my other issue I guess. I thought backwards, what had I changed? what was different? in how I lived. 1 teaspoon bi-carbin glass of water over a day, daily. thats what I had changed. And so I searched the internet for a link between the two, gout and bi-carb. And sure enough, its an alkaline, the exact reason I read it can cure cancer. All formal sites (wikipedia etc etc) said it didnt work, it was dangerous...immediately then I knew as I have learned how these scum operate in the last few years as maybe some of you might've aswell if u have time to turn the t.v off and find your own answers, not the ones you are fed, which is now obvious to me, Things truly are that reversed. But no one believes me. they wanna trust the ones who are out to hurt us and take all freedom. they can't see it though. This works. I'm tellin ya...don't eat shell fish, drink beer or wine, and don't let them addict u to thier medicines and appointments. its all bullshit im sorry to say. I'm 50 now. and thank god I found this when I did. and found out the world we live it is scripted, and we're slowly being trapped. so slowly that no one can believe it. I found out just by chance. You do not need them...unless u choose to need them. I think last few years clearly prove that, but its hard to be the outsider, to go against everyone else. They have the cures, like this....but they will never ever let us know if they cannot control it. so they never will. The old home cures have been forgotten on purpose through time. But they exist. Cancer never existed...most things. Its in the injections we get as children, I now know, no one should be injecting anything into someone elses body, we do not own our children, they should decide when old enough. Because none of that is needed, only to cut our lifespans short and many other consequences that created this industry owned by rockefella...Standard oil inc. Thats what he did with the oil money. bought the entire thing. your outcomes have been planned.

Gout? It's caused by acid. And a small amounts of baking soda reduces acidity (increases Ph) VERY fast. Had gout eight different times over 40 years. Couldn't even walk. Added one teaspoon of Baking Soda to a small glass of water and drank 3 of them on day one, two on day two and one on day three. Completely gone by the third day, every time. Never fails.

Bi-Carbonate Soda ( baking soda) saved me when on a group tour of Italy. After drinking wine I suffered from terrible inflammation pain in the joint of my big toe. I always carry bi- carb, it's my go to for acidity generally so I put one teaspoonful in a glass of warm water from the tap and drank it down. I was right by the next morning. A full teaspoon loosens my stools so usually I would only use half a spoon but this was urgent as we had a lot of walking to do.

I had gout in 2005 lasted 6 weeks before I went to the Dr. he said it was gout. Wrote me a script. NOT MUCH was on the internet back then about home remedies. On a DEEP DIVE I saw someone charging for a cure. I kept searching and found it FREE!

Backing soda and water. YES!! FOR ME in 3 days of twice a day, 1 level teaspoon in water morning and late afternoon fixed 6 weeks of horrible pain in 3 days!!

Another time few years ago pre KETO way of life I was suffering from horrible Fibro pain, worse EVER! Finally went to the Dr she said its my new normal. I said NO WAY, I will surely die!! SO going home defeated, I remembered the gout pain years before. I realize after searching you can get gout everywhere. SO I tried my home remedy. THIS TIME it took a little over a week of 2 a day baking soda and water. IT WORKED THANK GOD!!

I then started Keto way of life, I don't care what anyone says, for me gout is from lots of carbs, like starches and sugars and grains. Since being KETO I do fall off the wagon sometimes but over all my body fibro and CFS issues are WAY BETTER FOR ME! GODSPEED everyone.

I'm not one to write a review on many things, but I feel a sense of obligation because other people took the time to share their healing story which helped me out. Two days ago I had severe pain in my left ankle that kept me up all night. It couldn't be attributed to overwork or any strain of any sort. I googled my symptoms and figured out I had gout. I love earth clinic and have always turned here for help so I trusted this site for help. I tried 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda in half a glass of water and took it 4 times. By the end of the day the pain had basically gone and now it is the next day, and I have no pain whatsoever! Thank you Earth Clinic and all who took the time to post.

I have a history of gout and recently started taking Shilajit after reading some of the "hype" about its benefits on the internet. Recently I had a meal at our local club and the following day developed gout in my right foot. I blamed this on something I must have eaten at the club. I started taking sodium bicarbonate and rubbed onion into the foot as well as taking an Epsom salt foot bath and the gout cleared up within a few days.

Several weeks later I developed gout in my left big toe and this was very painful. I did some more research on the internet as the only difference with my diet was my taking Shilajit every day. I then came across several reputable website warning about taking this product if suffering from gout. I stopped taking the Shilajit and started taking small doses of sodium bicarbonate in an 8 ounce glass of water several times a day and just before bedtime. The gout has now subsided as my PH has gone from 6 back up to around 7.5.

According to the websites Shilajit increases uric acid and this is not good for anyone who suffers from gout.

Baking Soda cures Gout. Really yes really

I'll keep this brief, but a couple of years ago I came down with what must surely be the most painful affliction I have ever experienced namely gout in my big toe, I can only compare the pain to being stabbed with red hot pokers by members of the Devil's own horde. I was about to spend a prolonged summer with my lady travelling in Europe when the gout occured, managed to see my GP (MD) before we left and was prescribed Naproxen - turned out to be a big mistake. These were the tablets from hell - side effects included palpitations, stomach cramps, nausea, hallucinations, fitful sleep, unpleasant vivid dreams but most disturbingly they altered my mood/personality, I literally became a different person a monster very short tempered and aggressive, anyway the summer could have been better, on our return I didn't know if I still had a lady, didn't know if she would ever trust me again, even questioned my sanity. The the only thing I did know for certain was I still had this soddin gout.

I was determined to research gout and its causes and thanks to Dr Google I came across Earth Clinic, and whilst taking Baking Soda on the surface seems preposterous I was desperate to try anything - but surprisingly it works - many thanks EC you have probably saved my relationship you've certainly saved my mobility.

My regimen - start the day by drinking three large glasses of spring water (in total about 1 litre) one of which has a teaspoon of Baking Soda.

Take Ibuprofen as required

Take a glass of water with Baking Soda once or twice more during the day.

I was aware that taking Baking Soda was an unknown and I wasn't sure how much to take so I acquired ph strips, each morning I tested my urine and if acidic took the BS and if alkaline didn't bother of course.

Two days later the gout had miraculously disappeared.

This worked for me - and this is what I have learned

MY gout is caused by physical stress ie. stubbing, hitting knocking my foot - NOT diet I still eat meat, fish vegetables fruit all the usual food I have always eaten (I have to say I don't eat junk tho) I still drink alcohol (probably too much according to the UK health police) and I still start the day with my usual three glasses of spring water and should there be even the slightest hint or suspicion of gout then the Baking Soda reappears.

That's it - it worked for me hope it helps you. This crazy world has ordained that when you see your GP and you need medicine you're likely to be prescribed some chemical that is not working in harmony with your body. I'ts nice to know that sometimes you can take responsibility for your own well being. Take care now.

I cannot believe I found this website. I first experienced gout at age 41. Standard symptom - right large toe knuckle. Thought it was broke when I woke up. Took Colchicine .6 3x a day until you know what started. Problem gone. Then occasional flare over last 6 years until this last year. Several flares, with the last one going on for three weeks. Started in my left foot arch(top). Went and got a shot (steroid), took Colchicine. Went away for a week, came back in my right foot toe knuckle. went back to doctor after taking pills for a few days, got another steroid shot. Foot better next day. Next day same foot, same spot, took Colchicine 3x day till flushing began. Foot somewhat better for couple of days, joint very stiff.

After 3-4 days, again started Colchicine and indomethacin 3x a day. Day 1, no real relief and that evening foot swelled bad, no rest. Second day same, until tonight I found this website. I literally could not bend the joint at all.

It took 4 oz of water mixed with baking soda completely dissolved. About an hour later, I have almost full motion!!! I'm amazed!!! Thanks for this website!

I have had terrible gout in the past. I was so desperate at one point I looked up home remedies and found that taking 1/2 a tsp. baking soda in a large glass of water 3 times a day works for me [every time] over nite, for at least ten years. It seems not to work for everybody but I always keep some on hand. Good luck, Ricky

I have had Gout for two months now. Seems to stay with me even though I have quit drinking any alcohol, sodas, now I just drink water. I am trying to figure out what foods triggers it with no results. Yesterday I came on your website and started the Baking Soda Remedy since I cannot find the products for the other Remedies here in Thailand. Started with one half teaspoon last night and Ibuprofen (2 tabs of Advil) and the same this morning. I am about 25% better and will take another one half teaspoon tonight. I am interested in any reports of side effects of the baking soda! Have any been reported on this website? Thanks-More later.

Respectfully, Dan

I was also taking Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother for days and not much improvement in fact, I was in agony, crying, frustrated with the pain...

I have High Blood Pressure so I was reluctant to try baking soda but I decided to eliminate all other salt just to try this. I have heard nothing but good results. My pain didn't subside until the next day but it did subside. In fact, I'm sitting here practically pain free today because of the baking soda, I'm convinced. Just yesterday, I was sitting here crying.

There is still some stiffness but gosh, it is so good to be pain free.

I've had muscle/joint stiffness in my right big toe for 10 days now and it has just gotten worse. I have been trying toe flexing exercises and massaging my foot. It felt good but didn't help. It took three days for me to remember this sites name! I have it book marked now. Every other website didn't even mention Gout nor baking soda. I had been taking ACV for four days now (with the mother). Not much of a difference, if any. I wasn't even going to try the baking soda at first. But, after reading that it only took a day I decided to give it a try. I had a glass of water sitting in front of me and the baking soda was just a few feet away. Within 2 hours, I barely noticed any pain in my foot. I'm only 44 years young. I eat well and I am a yoga and zumba instructor. I run, bike and hike when I'm not doing my first two hobbies. Gout be gone!

Alkalize! If you catch gout early and take 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 8 ounces of water three to four times a day.... You can knock it out in a day or two. My husband used to get gout every few months. He drinks beer and eats a lot of red meat. No dietary restrictions for him! Anyway, his last attack he was amazed that I got it to go away literally overnight! He thought it was magic. He has not had another attact in over six months, which is a record for him. Not sure what is up there, but knocking on wood. He would get gout in his big toe or ankle. One time his ankle got so big, they thought it might be cellulitis! Anyway, gout is nasty. As for eating soy.... From what I have read - men should not eat soy, as it promotes estrogen. I would research it more before eating it if I were you. Good luck!

Hi, I had gout for about 5 years before I finally realized what to do. I have been gout free for about a year. The key is water alkalized water, a little baking soda in your water every day. The gout cannot survive in an alkaline body so drink baking soda water and eat lots of fruit. The cherries are good and exercise- try to walk or light jog 3 - 4 days a week at least 30 minutes. You'll be good to go.

Baking soda works, the gout is somehow associated with ph and the baking soda will neutralize it. I have had severe gout where it will attack both feet altenatively and I need to crawl on my knees to get anywhere. I've had it spread up into my wrists with intense pain. I even have passed stones through my urine and experienced terrible pain. If u wanna get rid of gout drink baking soda and water. I don't know how much. 1 glass with a spoonful of baking sode u will see results within the hour.

Gout is caused by uric acid. I found using baking soda (a small amount under the tongue) 4-5 times a day rapidly reduces the gout. simply neutralizes the acid by absorbing directly into the blood.

To who ever suffers from gout listen to this. My mechanic is 38 years old. He unlike his father had never suffered from an attack of gout. He had an attack of gout in his right foot. Severe pain followed. He tried ice. It helped the pain but he had to keep the ice applied to the foot. He had gone to the doctor twice, putting him on two types of medication for the gout. Nothing worked. His father had been on medication for it. When paul asked the doctor for the same meds his father was taking the doctor said he didn't want him to use it. No reason was given why. The doctor gave him a prescription for a third medication. It had no effect.

After 3 and a half months of limping around his shop, an older man came to deliver some auto parts. When he saw Paul was limping around he asked what was wrong. Paul told him gout. He told the gentleman that he had been to the doctor, been given meds and nothing was working. The man told him to get baking soda, warm water and take it 3 times a day. Paul just blew it off and when the pain persisted he tried it with little faith.

He took 3 teaspoons a day with warm water. His gout was gone in two days. He was incredulous.

Hello Fellow Earth Clinic Followers -

Well, this was our second time since finding the baking soda cure that gout has reared its ugly head in our house.

I wrote in on it last time, but since it happened again, and we had just as AMAZINGLY AWESOME results - I wanted to write in again to revalidate the effect it had on my husband.

On Monday my husband started out with a pain in his foot. He was gimping about, but went to work - not telling me. He came home early, knowing it was the dreaded gout.

I started him on the 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda in 8 oz. of water immediately. One dose that afternoon, and one more before bed.

Gave him another dose the next morning, and then noon.... by evening his symptoms were receding.

Amazing! Normally this would be over a week long battle... And we now have it down to well under three days. It never did turn into the complete HELL it usually does either.

I believe that the trick is to catch it IMMEDIATELY. We could have caught it a few hours earlier than we did, but still, it was before a complete explosion of redness, heat and swelling. We know the warning signs now.

When in doubt, down a glass of water with 1/2 tsp of baking soda in it - do NOT wait for it to get ugly!

Best,

Carly

1 for BS. Got my first run-in with gout 2 days ago (left big toe joint). I have had a couple of bouts with tendonitis in the upper arm and shoulder (rotator) in the past so after taking two 8-year-old naproxin pills over approx 8 hours, I settled in for about a week of slow recovery. However just before hobbling into the sack I borrowed some old baking soda from a friend's fridge and downed about 3/4 tsp in a glass of water. Slept good, and as I sit here writing this the following morning, I have just finished cleaning out the storerroom in my apartment. Swelling/redness 90% gone and 100% no pain.

My husband gets gout about 1-2x a year for the past decade. He started getting it again last week in his big toe, and going up to his ankle. We know the signs (sigh) and he was limping.

I got the crutches out, and started reading up on it on the internet yet again.

I read something interesting about baking soda on a site called icuredmygout(. )org - so I figured it couldn't hurt and it might help.

So, I gave him 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in 10 oz of water - and then gave hime another drink of the same directly before he went to sleep.

I should note that earlier that evening I made him a v-8 drink with a full teaspoon of turmeric, and pinch of black pepper in it.

I woke up the next morning, and he was out of bed, walking around like NORMAL! (Not limping or using the dreaded crutches). I asked him how his foot felt, and he said he didn't know what magic was in those drinks I gave him, but something sure worked. Lol. This was the fastest gout episode ever. The regular routine would have included at least another week to ten days of even more extreame pain. Mind you, he said he was still a bit sore, but it was 80% better over night! I kept giving him the BS in water 3x a day for two more days, and then he stopped. All done.

It is not recommended to take BS that much, that often long term, as it can mess up your electrolytes. (From what I have read anyway).

Gout is a horrible monster, and the next time (and there is always a next time once you have had it) he will be hitting the BS first thing.

Good luck if you are reading this because you have it, as it really sucks!

Carly :)

I once caught gout after eating sea food and it hurt like hell in my right big toe. I could barely walk it hurt so bad. I did an internet research and found that gout was caused by the build up of an excessive amount of uric acid in the joints. Men and Women-How do you get rid of too much acid on your car battery? You neutralize the acid by adding an ALKALIZING substance: Baking soda and water. For gout suffers, start drinking alkaline water and a 1/2 tsp. of baking soda to the water and you'll start flushing out the uric acid from your joints. You can also go to a local health food store and get yourself some celery seed extract. This will also help get rid of the excessive uric acid build up. Your body is 70% water, start drinking alkaline water and watch and feel your health improve.

My daughter just called me to confirm that in 12 hours, 1 tsp. of baking soda to a 1/4 cup of water REMOVED (completely) horrible gout pain... So bad they "wanted to cut their foot off" last night. She said she probably put too little of water in the mix, but it worked for them. Shocked, they said there was NO PAIN this morning. Not sure if it took away the pain last night but I think so! I just sent her the link on gout remedies and ACV! That's the one that is really supposed to work. Thank you for this website.

I have had a few severe bouts of what was diagnosed as tennis and golfers elbow. After many weeks, my qulaiity of life destroyed and trying all the remdies of straps and ice and rest and even accupuncture I finally had to have cortisone injestion. This time round I decided to try 'Applied Kinesiology'. The diagnosis is believed to be gout. I was prescibed 1/4 Bi-Carbonate Soda [Baking Soda] in a small amount of cold water three times daily and 1/4 teaspoon liquid zinc twice daily. After 48 hours I definately have relief. I wondered if anyone has had experienced gout in an elbow. By the way the kinesiologist said "definately no AppleCider Vinegar".
