I had been having a problem with my right eye for a while. I felt like my pressure was worse. So I tried flush. Though this Dr.Axe ( https://draxe.com/nutrition/niacin-flush/ ) doesn't recommend it for persons with glaucoma condition. But I thought flush would help my condition by better circulation to the area. 1 hour of tingling and burning feeling wasn't that bad. Well, the result was what I was hoping for. I felt my pressure go down and my vision got better than before I flushed. This is my opinion. I think the Niacine flush helped a little. I think I will keep using the method periodically.

This relatively new (July 2024) review suggests that the use of nicotinamide, a form of vitamin B3 may be useful in managing glaucoma as discussed here :

https://www.mdpi.com/2227-9059/12/8/1655#:~:text=Conclusions: Nicotinamide holds promise as, safety concerns in glaucoma patients.

Here is a relevant quote from the comprehensive literature review :

' The literature review revealed the preclinical evidence supporting nicotinamide’s neuroprotective effects on RGCs, the preservation of optic nerve integrity, and the modulation of glaucoma-associated neuroinflammation. Additionally, nicotinamide may exert IOP-lowering effects through its influence on ocular blood flow and aqueous humor dynamics. Conclusions: Nicotinamide holds promise as a novel therapeutic approach in glaucoma management, offering potential neuroprotective and IOP-lowering effects. '

RGC = Retinal Ganglion Cell IOP = Intraocular Pressure

The following link is to literature describing the safety of high dose nicotinamide :

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7277745/#:~:text=These studies assure safety in, minor and resolved upon termination.

Here is a very relevant quote from the literature link :

' Meanwhile, tolerance of doses near 1 g (or up to 3 g) of daily intake of NAM, even during long-term administration, has been demonstrated in many studies. Examples are the European Nicotinamide Diabetes Intervention Trial (ENDIT), where children were treated with 25–50 mg/kg a day for 5 years without reported adverse effects [20, 97] and a recent clinical study which showed that intake of 1.5 g NAM twice daily for 6 months was safe in elderlies [NCT00580931]. These studies assure safety in the current wide-spread practice of long-term dietary intake of 500–1000 mg per day. Although headache, dizziness, and vomiting occurred in healthy humans when NAM at doses up to 6 g was ingested on an empty stomach [43], these adverse effects were minor and resolved upon termination.

Note that problems tended to start to occur in the area of 6 grams on an empty stomach. That is a huge dose for most supplements and I haven't seen studies suggesting that such high doses are useful and healthful.

In previous testing I have found Nicotinamide or Niacinamide to be very tolerable and noticed no apparent side effects at the dosages I tested. This is a useful addition to EC's list of glaucoma remedies.
