Unknown (Unknown, United States) on 12/14/2011:
While showering I felt a bump on my perineum above my anus. I immediately got out and looked in a hand mirror and found skin tags surrounding my vaginal opening. It clearly was something std related and seemed to have appeared overnight. I went to the hospital right away - wet hair and all. I was hysterical in the exam room explaining the situation. The doctor checked me out and said to keep an eye on it. Diagnosed me with skin tags and said it probably wasn't genital warts even though I explained that I had hpv.
I didn't believe her, I looked at pictures online and the placement, size and shape were dead on with that of genital warts. Came across this site and decided to take action and try the Apple Cider Vinegar and gentle medical tape. Skipped the tea tree oil to save money.
First night: dipped cotton balls in Apple Cider Vinegar and placed them between my labia against the vaginal opening and against my perineum. Left in for about 2 hours. Not much burning at all, I thought everyone on here was just being wimpy. I checked and the warts had turned white, revealing exactly how many I had. 1 medium tag and some small ones around the opening; plus 3 or 4 trailing down to my anus. great.
Before bed same night: I soaked a tampon in Apple Cider Vinegar and placed it between my labia again in the same spot against the warts. not much burning, I slept fine besides the thoughts racing through my mind..
Woke up next morning: and checked in the mirror, warts were even whiter and some were grayish now. Glad this is working!
That afternoon: I decided to take three cotton balls and really soak them in acv, they were almost dripping. Infact they did drip a bit when I put them in. This session really did it. And this is also where the BURNING came in. 2nd time and twice as much acv. I was whimpering to myself and standing on my tippy toes. The pain did make me queasy but I just stuck it out and it became bearable after ten minutes or so.
After about 2 hours of passing time on the computer and watching tv to take my mind off of it, I pulled the cotton balls out. I'm very sore at this point, jumped in the shower to rinse (still sore but getting relief). I checked in the mirror and now they were black-ISH. Don't take the blackening so literally. Mine were just a darker shade of gray. I rubbed at the warts with a clean finger/small wad of toilet paper and they were wiping off!! THANK YOU GOD. I took the tip of my fingernail and lightly scratched at the surface of the biggest tag, it came right off. as gently as I could I scratched the entire surface off and it was pretty much painless dead skin.
The Apple Cider Vinegar had penetrated the flesh of the warts, making them super soggy. They never scabbed for me, they just wiped away leaving pink healthy skin underneath.
I dabbed a cotton ball with hydrogen peroxide on the the affected area to promote healing/kill germs/prevent spreading of the warts.
This is day TWO, two sessions a day and I don't have to see that nastiness when I look in the mirror anymore. I have my beautiful healthy smooth pink vagina back. well sort of! I'm still a little swollen but its going down by the hour.
Thank you so much everyone for sharing your experience with this monster of a disease. Good luck and I truly believe Apple Cider Vinegar can work for everyone. If you didn't have luck, you might not have saturated the cotton ball with enough acv. or maybe you didn't have direct firm contact to the warts (your cotton ball slid away or shifted).
I am aware that I still have hpv and the warts could pop up at any time but this has been a very stressful few months. I will make an effort to stay stress free and take vitamins to boost my immune system. I can always repeat this treatment if I need to. It only took two days and about 10 minutes of REAL pain. Was very worth it, I will sleep peacefully tonight with my confidence and self worth intact :)

I stopped the Aldara and 3-4 days later started with ACV. I applied a small piece of a cotton ball for only about 15-20 minutes two nights in a row, and on the third morning the wart was GONE! I would recommend before leaving it on all night and making your skin raw, to just try for 15 minutes at a time first. This worked and I couldn't be happier!
Thank you SO MUCH!

I stumbled across some sites that talked about ACV as treatment, I had no idea what ACV stood for. Once I found out I did some research read over 100 stories/post about, googled every site I could find. That same night around 1am I drove to walmart purchased a bottle of ACV $1.17, and thought, well I've already spent over $2,000 in other treatments what could another $1.17 hurt. I will say this was the best decision of my life!!!
The first night I did the treatment I could only do it for 30 min, the next 1hr, the next about 4 or 5 hours. I took a break because I was traveling, however I have noticed that my warts have disappeared faster than ever before, there are still a few left but I am assuming once I start the treatments again they will go away.
DO NOT SPEND MONEY GOING TO THE DR. This is the BEST and CHEAPEST treatment. I will admit it can, no it will be painful, however it will be totally worth it, you will be wart free!!! This was the best thing I could have stumbled across!!!

First let me thank all the peope that took the time to share there storys. Having an STD is not fun and because of you I am healed and feeling better than I have in a long time! Thank you so much!
Okay, I'm am excitied to say that organic in the raw apple cider vinagar really works for eliminating genital warts. And it works well, I'm talking I saw results in 24hours. Not gone but going. First they turn white 24hrs, then black 48hours then scab over and fall off. (don't pick or scratch off) should be clearing up in a week and just keep treating to be safe. You don't want these awful things coming back. Wash after the treatments.
Here is how I applied the ACV. I wetted a papertowel with it. Folded it in half. Wrapped my junk in it *( MAKE SURE NOT TO GET IT IN THE PEE HOLE ) bad bad! It will burn like fire. So, wet towel wrapped around shaft not so much the tip(cover the base well) * ALOT OF WARTS I COULD NOT SEE EMERGED THERE. You want to get it all! Then wrap in pastic wrap. It sticks to itself well and will keep your pants drier. I used two pieces one wraped around the shaft with the towel and then one with a hole pulled down around the base to stop leaks. I sat and tried to keep it pointing up. To keep the vinagar out of my pee hole and to keep the papertowl from slipping off my shaft. That is it. Keep it on as long as you can. I wanted mine gone as fast as possible. So if you got the time get some movies and sit your butt on the couch and get rid of your warts. After the first 24 it started to burn when I would reapply but so what! The warts were dieing and that was a good burn to me. I know that this doesent work for everyone :( but it absolutly worked wonders for me.
Thanks again everyone, good luck to those to try. And thank you ACV you are a real natual wonder!!!

Better But With Side Effects
I was very skeptical but I wanted to try this because I have no health insurance and Aldara, despite being unbelievably expensive, didn't work for my partner. I developed a wart on my perenium about 5 months ago. At first I thought it was a skin-tag, and believed it for 3 months until it started to grow. A couple months later, when I realized my immune system wasn't going to take care of this, they were breaking out in more than one area.
I had about 9 in total, but it is hard to count since they tend to grow in clusters. The largest and most troublesome was the one on my perenium because it hung just like a skin-tag from a thin tether and the skin there is so thin, just wiping would cause it to bleed. The others clustered right above it just on the inside of my labia.
I started the ACV treatments 4 days ago. On the first day, I just swabbed the visible warts with ACV and left it at that. It stung for a minute or two and the warts turned white.
The next morning, I read about how most people leave the ACV on by taping a cotton ball or qtip tip to the affected areas; so that's what I did next. I tore a large cotton ball into a piece large enough to cover the affected area and stuck it on with medical tape to be left on all day. This was uncomfortable for about an hour or so. But not bad. That evening, I did it again. It stung a lot worse the second time, especially in the perenium area, but I gritted my teeth and an hour later it subsided to a dull ache. I was able to sleep but my stomach was upset from all the vaginal discomfort.
The next morning, I was very uncomfortable down there, like I was bruised in the crotch. I decided I had had enough so I decided to take a break for that day. My vagina felt a lot better by that evening but I felt sick. Turns out, I am coming down with a cold, so I have decided to stop treating the area in case it gets infected and my immune system gets overloaded.
So it's been about 2. 1 treatments, and today is the first time I've really looked down there since it all started. When it started aching, I didn't feel like manipulating the skin anymore than I had to so I hadn't seen the real changes. Well, it's amazing! The majority of the warts have fallen off completely. I am down to three warts, which is maybe more like 2. 5 because they are so small and almost be completely flat. The skin on the inside of my labia looks normal, except for one remaining wart there, about 1. 5 milimeters wide. On my perenium, I have two warts, the original and a small hanger-on right beside it. They are even smaller and flatter than the labia wart, almost invisible, but the original perenium wart still bleeds when prodded.
Unfortunately, the perenium area does not appear as normal as the labia, there is some redness and the skin looks a little raw. I haven't scrubbed at the area, applied any oils, or even wiped vigorously, so this is just the ACV's effect. There is also a darkening of the skin in one spot that is very noticeable. It is about the same size as the cotton ball so I'm guessing it's where the ball was making the most contact. I have read about hyperpigmentation from skin injuries being permanent unless you do bleaching or laser treatments to resolve it. I don't care, but it is a side effect.
Also, despite this being day 4, I still hurt enough that I don't want sex or even to sit in certain positions. I am sure I will heal but if I had to do this over again I would make sure I didn't have much to do. Not just for the pain, but the smell is noticeable, so if you're going to be around people you might want to employ the use of a scented panty liner, or menstrual pad to contain it.

Although I think I could very well stand another treatment this day, I think I am going to wait until tonight, just so I have some time to heal. Hopefully, using the ACV and my current diet change I can keep these warts from returning. No more pop and sugary things for me. And a lot more veggies.

WARNING: the ACV was harsh on my foreskin and I had to make sure to protect my foreskin by covering it with a band aid first, then nailing the wart next to the foreskin with ACV. The problem was the head of my penis would naturally retract a bit and the foreskin would get hit by the ACV. I used vitain E cream on a band-aid and covered by foreskin. The shaft of my penis, where the other warts were, coped very well to the ACV but that was me. I've read about other people who reacted badly so try a 2-3 hour application and see how you do to start. Day 4 - That will be tomorrow. I will update you. I am taped up as we speak and going for the last kill. The warts seem to be dying and actually look like helpless little things now. What shocks me is why this treatment is not more well-known. A few months ago, I read on the Internet that it was a myth. Then I stumbled on this site and a few others. Thanks god I did. I know I might get some warts again in the future but it is only a simple 3-5 day treatment to crush them. And to think, for 10 years I struggled with this crap. I'm just glad it's over.

I have been having genital warts for I don't know how long. But have lots of it around my urethra, hymen, the lips of my vagina and the opening. Its very disgusting. Well, I went to the gyno and they treated me with some acidic stuff but it only peeled of a few warts. I then tried soaking ACV into cotton balls and have been using them since. It has been around 3 weeks now and many of the warts has gone. It somehow melts and forms into discharges or has gotten smaller in size. Some of the skin are very raw and some are still white. I'm still treating the white parts though. I have also been using acv soaked tampons for 2 weeks now to treat the ones inside (I don't know if I have them inside but just to take precautions) It doesn't hurt when I insert the tampon inside. It only hurts around 1 inch from the vaginal entrance because of the bleeding - it turns white after I remove the tampon. I know they are warts (first 1 inch from the opening) but does it mean that I have more inside even if I don't feel the pain after 2 weeks? Should I continue treating the ones inside? Please Help. Thank You
Whatsupwithmyjunk (Nyc, Ny) on 06/07/2010:
Doctors are the most unhelpful when dealing with this. Last week I went again for the second time and the last thing my doctor asked while scratching her head not knowing really how to cure this thing. My doctor asked, "Well, is this something you could sort of just live with?" Yeah my ---- looks like it just vacationed on a leper colony and I'm just supposed to be ok with that. grrrrr!
So I tried this ACV thing. Stung like a bitch, yes, but I must say i think its working. The first day I soaked a tiny little pieces of a cotton ball in the ACV , put it over the trouble spots (there's two) and left it to do its thing while watching TV at the end of the day for about 4 or 5 hours.
I also tried to keep it on at night while i slept but ended up taking it off at around 2am or so because it hurt sooooo bad.
The next day it was red and raw and really hurt. To keep my junk from swinging around to much i put a sock on it under my clothes (obviously)...lol...you'll notice a few more winks and smiles from everyone after you do this.
Because it was so raw, the second day i just left it alone. About all i did was apply bacitracin.
On day 3 (today) Ive noticed the spots have turned blackish and have dried out a bit. I'm applying the ACV again for about an hour before work. Depending on how they feel I may do the same again this evening.
Out of ALL the remedies I've tried this is the only treatment that has made a difference. I've had all the creams from the doctor..they dont work. Silver oxide gel...doesn't work....honey, nope just tastes sweet...neosporin doesnt work but will ease irritation. I even convinced the doctor to give me prescription strength antibiotic solution to apply to it...doesn't do a damn thing except keep it from getting infected. Last but not least I was told by my doctor to try yeast infection cream...total waste of time!
I have had them frozen off before as well. I have had good results with that as well but it involves going in and showing off an embarrassing thing to basically a stranger who may or may not judge you...who may or may not be willing to even perform the procedure. (esppecially if you have one on the glans..,they dont like to freeze anything on there)
So anyway I am trying to be hopeful and as long as each day I see improvement they I'll stick with this remedy. Its been 6 weeks and I'm really looking forward to sex again!!!!

I slept with cotton balls soaked with ACV and held in place with a pantyliner to keep everything moist. I was also using Wartrol topically and orally during the day.
Although the stinging was (very!!!) painful for the three days I treated, overall it was worth it and then some! After three days for treatment, my GW are GONE!!! I did find that the skin in and around the areas I treated was burned, and now that it's healing, it's uncomfortable, but I now know that I have to check myself regularly, and at the first signs of a GW, I will RUN to the kitchen cupboard!!
Thanks to everyone on this board for your feedback. Not only did I not feel alone, but I feel like a normal person again.
Wartsgoaway82 (Atlanta, Ga) on 11/18/2009:
I was buying the home freeze kits and using those for almost a year. They would work sometimes but not all the time. condolox and aldara did not work for me. Condyllox was also very irritating and destructive.
Finally I found the Apple Cider Vinegar method.
I placed cotton balls in a bowl and poured on the ACV. I let it sit for 5-10 mins. I tore the cotton into sections that would cover the wart clusters and covered them with band aids.
I did this before bed and went to sleep.
The first morning, the warts were white and puffy. A couple of them were already grey. By noon they were black. I felt very lucky since that is what has to happen for them to fall off( or so other posts have stated).
I repeated the treatment the second night and the warts that did not turn black on the first night are now black with a few small white ones I couldn't tell were warts just a few days ago. After a full count I was shocked to discover that I have over 20 warts down there. I only knew of 6-8.
Today I feel powerful and enlightened. I even had a stubborn wart come off in the shower. This is on the second morning.
Big tip for people struggling with this: Dont give up!!
I will say I have had no pain so far, just mild stinging. I feel lucky and it might be because I froze them a couple days before starting the ACV.
Good luck to the rest of you. For me, hope is back!!
In the last week my situation got worse quickly and I reached a breaking point.
Newdawn (Seattle, Wa, Usa) on 10/26/2009:
So It's been about 3 years since i contracted this godawful disease and I've nailed down a remedy that works every time these buggers try to make a comeback.
What you'll need (or what I needed I should say):
-Apple Cider Vinegar (sold at ANY grocery store)
-Toilet Paper (the good and thick stuff)
-Saran Plastic wrap
-Hydrogen Peroxide
-Tea Tree Oil
-Neosporin (original formula, accept no substitute.)
So, a couple things before i begin describing the regiment:
DO:
-keep clean. Shower every day. Soaking will help dead tissue peel off.
-stay hydrated and keep normal sleep cycles.
-WEAR PROTECTION if you're going to have sex. I wouldn't wish HPV on my worst enemy.
DO NOT:
-pick-at or mess with your outbreak, the less you mess with it the quicker it will heal.
-smoke cigarettes. I quit because of HPV, you should too. It DEPLETES your immune system.
-stress yourself out. Stress will cause it to get worse. Be sure to relieve your stress!
-think this is the end of your sex life. Maintain a positive outlook on beating this.
The Regiment:
The sum of my outbreaks always occur on the glans or as low as the scar of my circumcision, never lower, and the problem i had at first was finding away to apply the ACV to my affected areas for long enough without having to spend an hour or so a day in the bathroom. So what I came up with is taking two attached squares of toilet paper, folding them lengthwise in half, then dousing them in the ACV (just enough to dampen the t.p.). After this, I would wrap the ACV soaked t.p. around the glans and inner foreskin of my penis, and sort of squeeze to make sure I was making contact to the entire area. At this point, you're going to have to secure the t.p. in place, so what i came up with was using plastic wrap to basically gift wrap the t.p. to my penis. Remember too pee before you put it on, and keep it on for 45 min to an hour. You're going to find that the warts turn white, eventually with a red/grey/black spot in the middle (that is the root)
Don't go for longer than an hour! Slow and steady is the ticket. I would wrap every day until they are gone (no white spots appear after soaking), and if it seems your skin is becoming too raw, take a day off. Know now that this is going to cause slight discomfort, the acidity of the ACV is essentially going to burn the warts off, after a while you wont notice the slight amount of stinging (that means It's working). The best time of the day to do this is right before you take a shower, so you can wash the ACV off afterward (It doesn't smell good at all).
I used to wrap after showering, but the problem with that it that my skin was too soft after soaking, and it was also damaging the skin around the warts. I should also note that you're going to want use this method rather than just trying to spot onto the warts you know you have, because this method will get rid of the ones you don't see as well, as they will turn white after soaking in ACV. Remember also not to try to remove the warts after they turn white (you're probably going to want to, but fight the urge to mess with them). Be patient, they'll begin falling off themselves within a few days of treatment.
In the shower I found using Dial antibacterial soap worked best. At the end of the shower give the area you soaked just a splash of hydrogen peroxide to help dead tissue deteriorate, and to prevent infection. After you've dried from your shower get your tea tree oil and put just 2 or 3 drops onto the affected area and rub it gently into the skin (small circles). After a few days you'll find the warts are going to start peeling off, don't pick at them, they will come off when they're ready! Allow the tea tree oil to soak in for a couple minutes (this feels really good, kind of a cooling sensation and smells great too), then simply apply the Neosporin (this will speed the healing process immensely by preventing your skin from drying out any cracking). If you feel so compelled you can go one further and bandage, but as long as you change into clean undies every day you're going to be fine. I usually repeat the tea tree oil and Neosporin 3 times a day, just to keep the area clean and moisturized.
That's about it, It's a long hard road but once you beat this, It's like being born again. Remember to wrap it up (as if you haven't learned your lesson already). It's a damn shame doctors will never tell you about this remedy, after all, if they did, all those BS medications and temporary procedures they prescribe wouldn't make them any money. We are united in struggle, I just hope i can help someone anonymously because I'm taking the secret of having HPV to my grave. Godspeed friends, be well.

1. take cotton balls soaked with acv and squeeze out the excess before packing them in the affected area. NOTE* if you have been treating this area for several days and it becomes sensitive, dilute the avc with water.
2. after leaving on for 1-3 hours one to two times a day remove the cotton balls. rinse with warm water. GENTLY massage liquid antibacterial soap on the area. be careful not to pick or scratch the area, let any dead skin/scabs/dead warts fall off on their own when they are ready. picking and scratching will only spread them around. rinse. Rinse. RINSE. with water of course.
3. pat dry with some tp or a towel that you will not use again until after it is washed. apply vitamin e oil to the treated areas. again, be careful to not pick or scratch.
4. place dry cotton balls on the area treated. this helps control the moisture and prevents any open sores from touching healthy skin. do this until the warts are no longer present and the skin has returned to its normal healthy state.
5. WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER EVERY TIME YOU TOUCH DOWN THERE!!!!!!! AND DONT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE UNTIL YOU HAVE. please, be clean :) you dont want to accidentally give this to anyone else do you?
after much trial and error this is what i have found works best and may work for you. tea tree oil can be used in place of the vitamin e oil but test in a small area first. i am possibly allergic to it and it makes me itch like crazy, which made me scratch, which spread the problem. also, tea tree oil has a very strong minty odor that is VERY noticeable. vitamin e oil does not. i also take a few supplements such as prenatal vitamins, garlic pills, vitamin e gel caps, and apple cider vinegar tablets. every freakin day. consistency is everything. this treatment is working well so far but you must have patience. ive been dealing with this for almost two months now and im really impressed with the fact that i can regulate this problem with something so simple. no matter what method you choose to treat the warts, there will always be a chance of recurrence and no treatment has been proven to be more effective than another since everyone is a little different. what works for you might not work for someone else. the best that you can do is to be healthy, consistent, and to stay positive. you will beat this.
