Came back from vacation early January 2026

was diagnosed with diverticulitis. Was prescribed 2 medications.

had problems every since with not being regular .

2 days before my trip to Europe, I felt like I was getting diverticulitis again. Abdominal pain left side again. I went to health food store right away and got slippery elm pills. Owner told me to take it with warm water . It helped tremendously. I also took grape seed extract and oil oregano. I am Europe on my vacation.

I have had occasional bouts of diverticulitis and have found slippery elm to be very soothing and beneficial. I generally make about 250 ml of warm water in a glass, place in a teaspoon of honey and stir. Add 2 heaped teaspoons of slippery elm powder and stir to a smooth consistency. It's quite pleasant to drink. I take this first thing in the morning and just before I go to bed.

I have also found grapefruit seed extract to be very helpful and works quickly.
