Warning
Egg whites can contain salmonella and can cause infection and even death. If you insist on using them as mentioned in one medical reference in the late 1890s... cool the burn with water first...

I ran to the computer and keyed bad burn, this site came up and there were a few different solutions, I looked at the largest YEA and found the egg white solution. I cracked about 4 eggs had her lay down and poured them on the burns, within 5 minutes, she told me that if felt much better. So now I am telling you EGG WHITES are the trick for the burn. She is just now going to bed, with dried eggwhite on her breast and chest and seriously she couldnt be happier. Thank you so much!

The next day I began applying Vit. E oil several times a day and it healed with no scar, just very light skin. Once spring came around the light area tanned and it's not noticeable anymore.

I put egg white on a burn I got about a month ago. Within days it was healed with no mark. I was excited, but I thought maybe it was because it was a very minor burn. I felt I needed to try the cure again to be sure. Well I didn't do it on purpose, but a few weeks later, I got not one, but two burns from my wok, one day after the other. The burns were more substantial. The first burn mark is now completely healed a week after I got it. The scab on the second is starting to flake off, and I see that the skin is normal underneath. This is amazing, considering that I still have a mark from a similar burn from my wok that I got about 8 months ago! I will no longer go around with burn scars all the time!!
I've always wondered why my skin doesn't heal normally in the first place. It's not just burns, but cuts too. They do eventually heal, but take months instead of days. If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear it. Thanks all!
Try the egg whites on your next burn. It not only helped me heal but took the pain away. And watch out for rogue woks!

I burned myself badly all across the back of my hand and immediately turned to Earthclinic.com to see what might help the pain. I used the eggs whites! I cracked one egg, put it in a bowl, used a paper towel and soaked up some egg white with it. I then put that paper towel on the back of my hand and let it sit. I did this.. maybe 5 times. It really helps a lot! It didn't blister and the burning pain went away after a little. The burn ended up drying a lot and peeled away leaving somewhat pinky skin. Nothing horrendous. I consider myself lucky.. Thanks to everyone who share all these awesome rememdies!

About HONEY for burns..a couple of years ago I poured boiling water into my hand instead of my tea-cup (go figure!) I did the ice water thing immediately to help the pain, then put a big blob of honey on the scalded surface of my palm, covered this with a cloth and put an ice pack on top. The ice helped with the pain but I had to keep renewing it. After 2 hours when the pain had finally subsided I removed the cloth and there was no sign of the scald at all. It was as if it had never happened. The honey was wonderful for the healing the skin, but the egg white is fantastic for the pain of a burn.

Hello, all....I'm sure you are aware of the multiple postings on here for egg whites, I have read them all......so let me save you some time. It does work!!!!! I am typing this with my left hand soaking in a bowl of egg whites and absolutly no pain or burning sensation at all.
Earlier this morning at 7am (it is now 10:45am) I burned my hand with scalding HOT coffee, by accidentally pushing the button on our automatic dispensing coffee maker. Mind you this was 1 minute before walking out the door to drop the kids off at school. I screamed (thank goodness the kids were already in the car), cried, ran my hand under cold water (which really didn't help too much), told my husband what happened, then walked out the door with a Spiderman ice pack we had sitting in our freezer. I kept the ice pack on during the drive and for a total of 2 1/2 hours once back home.
I still had severe pain and my ice pack was completely melted. After calling all the moms I knew for alternatives, I couldn't stand the pain any longer....so I opted to jump online and look for home remedies. Praise God that I ran across this site and tried the egg whites which stopped the pain immediately. Even when I take my hand out for a few seconds to do something, the layer or coating of egg whites on my hand keeps the pain from coming back.
Not sure how long the burn will take to completely heal (I will comment again when that happens), but all the redness and pain are gone and it LOOKS like it will heal fine, without blistering or peeling. WE'LL SEE :o)
****There is one piece of information I would like to share: The temperature of the egg whites determines the soothing level of the remedy. Occassionally the pain or burning feeling would come back once my hand warmed the liquid, so I would add another egg white to the bowl to cool it down. The colder the egg whites, the less pain you feel.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH EVERYONE FOR YOUR FEEDBACK!!!!!! I WOULD NOT HAVE TRIED IT IF THERE WEREN'T SOOO MANY COMMENTS LISTED.
