I just tried the peroxide method about 15 minutes ago. I feel a difference already, meaning I feel much cleaner down there. I poured 1oz of hydrogen peroxide in a douche bottle, (one already had from the beauty supply store) got in the tub laid on my back and inserted the bottle and squeezed it in. I didn't squeeze the full amount in because since this is a new method to me, I'm testing it out. I squeezed about 3 or four pumps into my vagina, I laid down for about a minute, then I sat up and let it run out, it came out like a foamy bubbly substance, but I think that's a good thing. I didn't dilute it with water because I want to be sure its working but I did sit in a small tub of water afterwards and took some probiotic pills. It does burn a little bit but it's not unbearable. I will do this again tomorrow and I may dilute with water this time, just to make sure my natural floral is not being dried out, that wouldn't be good for intimacy. You can post me if you have anymore questions.

Thank god I found this website! I am never one to write reviews on websites like these, I tend to just take advice.
However, I felt this time I needed to share my experience like many other women.

I am a fairly young adult, 21 years old, and had unfortunately been suffering with BV for around 5 months. After being diagnosed by a doctor I was prescribed antibiotics, they worked for a few days but the BV returned very quickly. I tried the gels that can be inserted, for example the canestan BV treatment, that didn't work either.

My BV was particularly prominent after sex, which was extremely embarrassing for myself as I felt I had to apologise and explain to my partner. It actually put me off sex and meeting new people completely, I lost huge amounts of confidence, as I'm sure others can relate.

It became incredibly frustrating, until out of frantic internet searches I found this page and found my solution.

-I bought some hydrogen peroxide, douche and acidophilus tablets.
-Firstly, I created a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water to fill the douche.
-I lay in the bath (or sat on the toilet) and inserted the mixture and held for 60 seconds.
-I then released the original liquid and then douched again with a small amount of water.
-After, I then inserted an acidophilus tablet into my vagina to encourage the 'friendly' bacteria.

I did this for 7 days, in the morning.
I saw immediate results, after day 2, there was no smell (throughout the day) and my discharge had returned completely to the state it was before BV.
It did feel a little crampy for the first 3 days of doing this, but after it was fine.

It has been nearly two weeks, I have had sex and my BV has NOT RETURNED! (although I did douche with the solution a few hours after sex as a scared precaution, because I'm terrified of it coming back! )

(I must add I have cut down on smoking which may have had some benefit)
BUT THIS SOLUTION IS GREAT AND I WISH I HAD FOUND IT SOONER.

Let me start off by saying if you have ever experienced BV I don't even have to explain how nerve wrecking it is smh. I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet. I have suffered from BV off and on for the past year. I would go to the Dr. They give you the typical 3/7 day meds oral and insertion. All if those were temporary masking not exactly a solution. Not to mention the uncomfortable side effects that freaked me out. So I was doing a lot of research and stumbled upon this site. After trying numerous other remedies. I have never heard of peroxide. Thinking about it makes perfect sense it kills bacteria in cuts, etc. Me and my fiance went to Walmart at like 3 a.m. to pick up a few things so I slid in hydrogen peroxide and a pack of vinegar douche for the squeeze bulbs.Got home and tried it out immediately. I emptied the bottled and filled it with peroxide. I DID NOT dilute it I needed it to work the way it was intended. I was a little nervous though but more determined. I got in the empty tub it kind of layed down and went to work with the douche. I held it in also a little while. I did this twice two rounds at one time. I could feel it instantly bubbling up so I knew it was doing what its supposed to. By the way it DID NOT burn or hurt in any shape form or way. So don't be scared!! It will only help you. This was 10 hours ago so far so good. Plus me and my fiance were intimate twice still no smell no disharge!! He is excited but not more than me he have no idea. We have not been intimate for a week straight lol. I plan to be more cautious of my body going forward. Just be mor intune with your body have to treat our vagina like a baby b/c it's just that gentle, fragile, & sensitive. IT WORKS LADIES!! Hopes this helps someone👍👍😀

I used the Hydrogen peroxide method and it cured my BV. I have waited over a week to post this in the fears that it may come back - I didn't want to post something like oh, it took away the symptoms immediately and it's been one day! Of course the symptoms will be gone that day. I wanted to make sure it wasn't coming back. I am about a week and a half out and it hasn't! At all! I'm going to tell you guys exactly what I did.

I've had BV one time before. I know exactly why I got it and it's embarrassing. Back then I tried some lightweight natural remedies and while it lessened the symptoms, it didn't go away until I went to the doctor and got metro gel. That took it away completely. This second incident is now about three years after the first. I don't know how I got it though I suspect my partner had something to do with it because of a random comment he made about having not showered. Come on people let's be hygienic! As for my symptoms, I wouldn't say they were "severe". But I did have that abnormal discharge and probably the WORST most humiliating part, that bad smell after sex. :( Feeling mortified (and my gyno appointment being a month away) I decided to give natural remedies my all. I was just determined to feel like I could beat this the natural way and not have to use gross inserts or take strong antibiotics. I am very health conscious and don't like to go to the doctor or use strong medicines unless absolutely necessary. So after researching like mad, this is what I did:

1. I bit the bullet and bought a douching apparatus (I have NEVER used one before, I felt embarrassed having to even buy this), and I used 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water douche once a day for seven days. Every day I prepared this fresh, about 2 oz of each. The hydrogen peroxide is the regular kind you can buy at the supermarket, the one in the brown bottle. I would lay on my back and raise my hips and legs up in the air so that part of me was more or less upside down, then completely fill myself up with solution and hold it in and count to 60. Then let it out in the tub. Repeat until the solution is gone. The first time as someone else reported, I did feel a bit crampy afterwards. Probably because of the infected tissue being cleaned off. But each day this lessened and after 3 days or so it doesn't feel like anything. Just nice and clean.

2. This might be equally important - I ate raw cloves of garlic every day for seven days. I read about and actually found a study that said ingesting raw garlic this way was about as effective as oral metro. But you have to make sure you do it RIGHT - you have to eat ENOUGH garlic (2 or 3 regular sliced cloves per day), make sure it is SLICED or CRUSHED, and make sure it's fresh garlic. The garlic pills will not work. Cooked garlic in your food will not work. It must be raw, freshly sliced garlic. There is a special compound that garlic releases as soon as it is sliced or crushed and that is where the healing properties are. Let me tell you, I adore garlic, but this was hell. Make sure you eat a bit afterwards or it will give you a stomachache. I sliced it into thin slices and swallowed it like that like one might swallow pills. It was far too spicy to chew!

3. Probiotics. Since you're killing bacteria, repopulate your lady bits with the good probiotic bacteria that help keep it healthy. I bought and drank 8 oz of plain kefir (tastes like plain yogurt) every day for seven days. I actually plan to keep drinking it because it's just so good for you.

4. Alkalize. This by itself I believe is more of a preventative method, but I wanted to do anything that would help. And around the time I caught this, I had been going through a phase where I'd been eating really poorly. Loads of salty and sweet cravings, eating loads of chips and cheese puffs :/ I don't feel that is mere coincidence. And apparently, when you have BV, the PH in your vagina has shifted to more acidic, which helps the nasty bacteria thrive. Every morning I already drink water with lemon first thing, but I also started drinking one glass of water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar every afternoon. I bought bottles of alkalized water (find this at Whole Foods etc.) and drank that during the day. I did my best to avoid the worst of the acid forming foods: meat, packaged sugary foods, white rice, fruit juice and sodas etc. I dug up some of my favorite healthy recipes and started eating those. This experience has bolstered my discipline to eat better and more alkaline every day.

Oh, and during this time, I did not have sex. And that's it! Honestly I was so afraid to stop douching, but I knew I had to see if it would return. I was so, so happy when it didn't. And now I know exactly what to do if, heaven forbid, it ever comes back again. I'm so excited to share this. I was so embarrassed and upset that I literally cried, so I know how horrible it can feel. I would be so happy if this can help anyone beat this thing.

I have only been on 2 treatments of a 50/50 solution of H2O2 and water soaked in a tampon and I already see a complete improvement! Smell is gone and discharge has been eliminated. I think I will continue the treatment for another 3-4 days and then stop it and see if the improvement is permanent or if symptoms return. So far, so GREAT!

I did my homework on this one. I was noticing after my period I would have horrible itching. Talked to Doc, flagyl was prescribed. Worked, then came back. Doc said the flagyl would eventually stop working. So I stumbled onto the earthclinic site, and read about the hydrogen peroxide douche. I also learned normal ph in the vagina is around 3-4. Blood ph is around 7. So what I did was put about a tablespoon of baking soda, half water, half hydrogen peroxide swirl to mix. During the month when I had BV itch I would douche with it. Now that my period is over I douched with it again. I can truly say this is a miracle. No itch, no b****. Lol

UPDATE: I saw my doc and was given permission to use peroxide/water with a tampon, once a week. I have also started drinking kefir and I have NO bv! At the moment, it is GONE!!! We will see if it returns. I also take a folic acid tablet once a day. I have now been symptom free for 2 weeks. I think the pain I was experiencing could have been unrelated to this treatment. I'm so excited and hope this has worked for me!

I stumbled upon H202 last night as a last resort for what I thought was a UTI that would not go away. I had previously once been treated for BV but since I have not had any itching or discharge and only a slight odor I assumed it was a uti. Several months of antibiotics later and still no relief for the burning and pain I tried the H202, I was scared it would burn but was willing to try it seeing how it could not get much worse.

To my absolute shock, I have done 2 douches since last night and all the pain and burning have completely gone! The H202 did not burn at all, in fact it was instantly soothing. 5 months of antibiotics and nothing- but a few minutes with a dollar bottle of peroxide and sterile water and complete relief.

Not sure how often I need to do to this and paranoid the pain will come back since it has been so long, I could almost cry from happiness! I wish I had seen this months ago!

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE CURED MY BV! I AM TELLING YOU THIS FROM PERSON EXPERIENCE. NOTHING THAT I HEARD.

I don't care what you heard or who you are this works rather it's a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis/vaginitis.

First let me explain something. Antibiotics like flagyl and all that only work temporarily because it is "anti" body. It kills both "Good" and bad bacteria. Peroxide does the same thing except you avoid the expensive visits and wasted time, not to mention, peroxide works faster. You have to replace the good bacteria as soon as you are done with the treatment. When I douched with peroxide, the smell went away instantly. Everyone's body is different but I haven't heard of anyone having to use this for more than 3 days. Most are cured after 2. I was fine after 1 day. Peroxide DOES NOT dry you out because it's "Hydrogen and Oxygen, " so it hydrates and bacteria cannot live in "Oxygen."

HOW DO I USE THIS?

SUPPLIES NEEDED: douche bottle, distilled water, 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide. Later: Apple Cider Vinegar

WHERE TO GET SUPPLIES: I bought the regular summer's eve douche bottle from HEB, peroxide from whole foods. Distilled water can be bought from any grocery store or you can just boil some water and let it cool off to distill it on your own. ACV was bought from Whole Foods.

1. Completely empty and rinse out your purchased douche bottle of choice

2. Fill douche bottle with 1/2 distilled water and 1/2 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide.

3. Drink 1 full tablespoon of organic Apple Cider Vinegar mixed in 1 bottle of water 2-3 times a day to help restore normal vaginal flora and PH balance. Whole Foods also offers a number of potent vitamins to restore good bacteria in vagina. Any of them are great.

Some even soak a tampon in the vinegar mixed with half water and insert for restoration of vaginal flora (I never tried this one because I don't want nothing else up there since bv is gone lol) Internal use of ACV has Maaaany benefits including great vaginal benefits.

If you do not have food grade peroxide, the brown bottle peroxide works exactly as good. I have used both.) But I have been told the brown bottle is not safe all though it worked GREAT. I will also say FOR ME it was completely SAFE TO NOT DILUTE in case you want to make it stronger. It did sting a tad without diluting but hey, it stings if you pour peroxide over a cut full of bacteria as well. I have used this method without mixing and with. The stinging means the peroxide is working and is well worth it.

The important thing to know is that Candida/Yeast CANNOT LIVE IN OXYGEN. The peroxide kills it instantly.

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE CURED MY BV!!! I went through four rounds of antibiotics with no avail! I was depressed and thought it was hopeless until I found earthclinic and hydrogen peroxide!! I douched with H202 2-3 times per day and applied tea tree oil topically to control the itch. Within a few days I had another gyno appt and they tested me AND IT WAS GONE!!! Thank you to Earth Clinic and all of the ladies who have posted before me!! You are all life savers!!!

You have my exact symp. Ask your doc to check the ph balance of your urine or u can get the test from the pharmacy yourself. The PH of your body sounds acidic, which results in an all types of infections. fungal. Bacterial. Not to scare you but even cancer as these diseases thrive in acidic conditions.

You have to add Alkaline foods to your diet and make them the vast majority of foods that you consume. FYI.. Apple Cider Vinegar is a powerhouse Alkaline. That's why it works for most people's BV. You can ingest it orally as well for systemic assistance.

i tried the hydrogen peroxide thing and it sorta worked. I was good for a week but then it seemed like I made it worse bc when I stopped it was worse than ever. Point being, you can't just balance the ph of your vag without addressing the underlying issue.

Ive switched to an 80% Alkaline diet / 20% Acidic diet a week ago and I feel less "I'll" my vag seems happy, skin still sucks but it noticeably better, and I am down 6.5 lbs. Yes, 6. Power of fruit & vegetables.

Our ur parents knew what they were talking about. Who knew... Well, apparently they did but they failed to eleborate on the why.

PH balance. That simple.

Years of bv, skin/bacteria issues, a few fungal things, terrible food allergies that popped up in adulthood....and I am betting it was acidosis the entire time.

I feel kinda mad that we don't get taught this stuff in school. Women especially suffer the worst. Jock itch cannot compare to the horrors of bv.

First let me start off by saying I NEVER do any reviews or feedback for anything online but I HAD to come back to this site to share my story. I struggled with BV for a very long time... Maybe 5 years(yeah 5! ) it would come and go. I have seen different doctors and they would prescribe me antibiotics (flagyl) that would last periodically but not permanently. So one day I decided to type in BV cure and I saw the peroxide cure ... OMG this really works! I cannot explain how grateful I am that I came across this. The first time I tried it, it lasted up until I was sexually active then came back so I tried it again but added about a tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar and its been about 4 weeks and I'm STILL good, even after sex! I cannot believe this worked I have struggled with odor and different embarrassments because of this on and off for so long so to come across something so simple that I've had at home all these years, is amazing. I am so grateful for this I cannot stress enough if you have this problem just at least try it... If it helped ME it'll most likely help any one.

Had BV diagnosed by my GYN after experiencing some mild odor and additional discharge. She prescribed metro gel but I really didn't want to take it. I have had BV once before years ago and recall that treatment being really gross, messy and uncomfortable. Also, I'm not an alcoholic but didn't feel like going a week without drinking. ;)

Found this site and thought I'd give it a try. The first night, I used the 50/50 douche method, but kept it in for a few minutes before letting it drain out. Smell was gone immediately. I decided that was too messy so I would just douche like normal (not holding it in) in the shower. After day two or three, the smell and discharge came back. The study said seven days, so I kept going, douching with 50/50 once a day. After day 6, it didn't seem to be doing any good, so I came back here and read the comments again.

Last night I used the 50/50 tampon approach. (For those asking, you just make the solution and pour it into the tampon while still in the applicator. It takes more effort to push it out of the applicator when its soaked but it can be done.) I left it in for about 20 minutes. Success! No more smell or discharge!

This morning I worked out (after a workout is when the smell was worst before) and still no smell or discharge! Sounds like it takes more than one application for most people, so I think I will repeat twice a day for a week or so and see how that goes.

As a side note, with both the douching and the tampon, I felt a bit crampy afterward but it was minor and calmed down quickly.

Good luck to all, BV is the worst!

So I had it for over 10 years too and found this website a few years ago. It saved my life. I did the peroxide. 3/4 peroxide 1 part water. I shot it up with a medicine dropper for about 5 minutes. I did this for 3 days. After that I did the tampon soaked in for about an hour. A little uncomfortable but well worth it.

After that you have to put good bacteria in your body. Lactobacillus reuteri Is AMAZING. I bought a bottle at whole foods. I took 1 in the morning and 1 before bed. I did 2 bottles there about $20 each. Its been a couple years and I've been fine. If I get an Odor I go buy acidophilus in the container from whole foods soak a tampon and insert it for an hour for 2 or 3 days. I also use that if I have any signs of bladder infections or urinary infection as antibiotics can bring back the bv. Good luck.

My BV nightmare started when my 3 rounds of :-(metro gel and metro pills) antibiotic treatment failed after 2 weeks. I felt hopeless and became desperate so I ask my gyn for something new and she prescribed clindamyacin. I did my research but decided against it because of the side effects. After trying the pro-biotic for 30 days it was unsuccessful too, nothing changed down there. Again I felt hopeless. I started to do more research and came across hydrogen peroxide and water douche. I decided to give it a try but did not expect anything much, to my surprise there were immediate change down there . Finally I could see the difference. I've been doing it for 4 days so far and it only gets better. I'll do it for 7 days once daily along with the oral probiotic pills and vag wash. I'm feeling wonderfully fresh, clean and confident. I'm grateful for this website.

I, like mostly everyone who has posted, am so happy to report that the hydrogen peroxide with water solution totally works. I have been having complications from BV for the past 2 years. I have taken antibiotic after antibiotic. The last round of antibiotics I broke out in this horrific rash (hives, itching, the whole bit). I stumbled across this website after searching for other ways to treat this condition and decided to give it a shot. What the hell!

One evening, I mixed together 30 ml of hydrogen peroxide (the bottle I have in my house, not the food grade kind) along with 30 ml of water and douched with it. The next evening, and the evening after, I soaked a tampon with the solution and used that. But the first evening I immediately felt a difference. My vag even looked different. It was no longer dry looking, there was no more odor... I had been experiencing some brownish discharge. That has returned to normal. My vag is functioning the way that it was functioning before I developed BV. I'm just relieved. If I ever have problems in the future, the hydrogen peroxide solution will be my go to method of treatment.

I, like many reviews I've read, d not usually post reviews but this works! I was planning on doing the tampon smoked in 50/50 solution until I read some posts mentioning the douche. I bought a douche and disposed of its contents then filled it with the solution. After doing that I inserted a tampon and kept it in for about 15 minutes. I removed the tampon and solution and inserted another with yogurt. Thinking the peroxide kills the bad bacteria and yogurt introduces good. I then soaked another tampon in 50/50 and kept that in for 30 a few hours later. I have no noticeable odor and my strange, subtle cramps have gone away. I am on day 2 and have only done the soaked tampon. Everything seems back to working order, I am happy to report! It's definitely worth a try for those looking for a cure.

I am so excited to have found a way to cure my recurrent BV without having to go back to the doctor for more antibiotics! I've struggled with recurrent BV for about 3 years. It took me a while to connect the dots (way too long, actually) but I'm sure my BV is caused by unprotected sex. In hindsight I realized it always occurred a few days afterward. It hadn't always happened, it started when I got a new partner.

The first few times I went to the gyno, got the antibiotics and went on about my way. I didn't really think of it as a problem until I didn't have insurance and couldn't afford to go to the doctor.

Fast forward to a month ago when I got my most recent case, I promised myself that I wouldn't take anymore antibiotics and that I would find a way to cure it myself. I did have some leftover medicine that I could have taken but I really wanted to be able to fix it naturally, so I resisted. I tried everything from boric acid suppositories (which I had tried once before), lactobacillus suppositories, feminine probiotics suppositories, and probably some other remedies that I'm forgetting. They all work as long as you use them, but once you stop the symptoms are right back.

Hydrogen peroxide was my last ditch effort before I was going to quit and take the antibiotics.

I tried the soaked tampon (in combination with lactobacillus suppositories after removing the tampon), and that didn't work at all. I tried douching with a half and half mixture of peroxide (3%) and water (I used an empty Summer's Eve Douche bottle) for 5-6 nights and I did see some improvement, but the BV returned a couple day after my last douche.

I decided to try douching again but this time I did MUCH LESS diluting. Truthfully, it was almost no dilution at all. Probably a 95/5 mix.

Also, instead of doing a straight douche, I would lay on my back and fill my vagina with the mixture, hold it in for a few minutes, release it, do this a couple more times, and then finish off with a douche over the toilet.

After 3-4 nights of this, I'M CURED! Usually by this point, if something wasn't going to work, my symptoms would be back but I feel great. It's been six days since my last treatment, and NOTHING. No, it doesn't hurt or burn, you will feel some of the bubbling but it is completely painless! I don't normally post to blogs or write reviews but I know the BV struggle is a horrible one and I want to help whoever I can!

I used 30 ml 3% peroxide 2x per day for 7 days. I used a 30 ml sterile syringe, as it kept the peroxide in me better. I left it in for 15 min each time. Drained. Directly followed by a frozen kefir + probiotic insert. I'm cured. And so grateful. I tried it all before. This even FEELS different. I will take the probiotics forever too.

I saw on this site that hydrogen peroxide was helping a lot of women combat vaginosis and I have had it off and on for about a month and a half to two months and it has been the most miserable time of my life. So, I was desperate for any kind of cure. I saw that people were using a half and half mixture of peroxide to water and using that as a douche. I bought a vinegar and water douche from target, emptied out the contents, filled it halfway with water and the other half with peroxide. I did this for three nights straight, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Today is Friday and this is the first time I'm starting to get that awful, fishy smelling discharge again. The smell isn't nearly as strong as it used to be nor is the discharge amount nearly as much as it used to be, but it is still unfortunately still present. Maybe I need to douche for more than three consecutive days? I am going to leave it alone during the weekend and see if anything progresses on it's own. I might have to try this again on Monday and go for an entire week.

I've just recently had BV and its my first time, have never felt so uncomfortable and mortified. My doctor prescribed me Metronidazole yesterday and once my chemist told me it would make me feel sick and I read online about how awful it makes people feel I decided against it. I have a horrific phobia of vomiting and decided to try anything else. When I heard about hydrogen peroxide I was sceptical but I was so uncomfortable and it seemed to have the best results. Couldn't find any form of douche products to buy so I used the tampon option. I poured two bottle caps full of 3% hydrogen peroxide and two bottle caps of boiled bottled water into a glass, I then place a tampon in and waited until it was lukewarm. I felt instant relief after having it in me around 10-15 mins. I then had a bath and put some natural Greek yogurt on afterwards. I also bought some folic acid, vitamin D and vitamin C supplements. Seems to be working wonders so far.

I have spent so much money on pantie liners that it's on real. I have read that the pills and cream the doctored give you do not work, but I found that hydrogen peroxide is temporary solution for BV. I soak a tampon in 50% H.P. And 50% water for about 2-5 minutes. Then I insert it for 30 MINUTES (Do not do longer) Then right when I take it out NO discharge! NO Odor! I feel normal! I have been increasing the amount of H.P. I use. But that works for me, everyone is diffrent. I want to find a permanent cure with H.P. If anybody knows one please comment!!!!! As a woman the last thing you want to do is have any vaginal issues. Especially, ones that you have no control over. I mean I know how to wipe a shower I don't use scented soap. I have one sexually active partner and we used protection. So why do I keep getting bacterial vaginosis? I have contributed a lot of different theories, I feel mainly that I don't diet properly. After waiting this website I finally realized that I was not alone. No one understand what it feels like to be a woman and have BV. But I am so glad to report that this really really works!!! I just did my first does of three quarters of the hydrogen peroxide and the rest water and ladies I'm so proud to report that immediately after my first use I have no smell!!! It's been approximately 4 hours and I have not had any discharge at all. After battling with this issue for almost 10 years I really feel confident that this will work. Just like all of the other ladies I have been to the doctor I've had culture samples done, I've used metro gel as well as the flaglyn pills. The moment I have any sexual activity that BV will flare up. I am going to report on this for the next few days because I will be doing this journey with you guys. This cure if it completely works would be the best thing I've ever had to experience and its cost effective. To have to go to the doctor every time this happens and if you're like me you get this more than four times a year and no doctor can ever give you a final cure or a reason why. It's definitely disturbing. My plans like I said to do this for the next few days and I will definitely report to you ladies and let you know my progress good luck ladies!

I am happy to report that H202 has helped me to finally get rid of my BV symptoms. I can't believe the smell was gone right after the first time I used it.

I was told to mix 50% Peroxide with 50% distilled/bottled water in a douche bottle. I was very skeptical as to whether or not this would work considering everything else I have tried either didn't work at all or only for a few days at best. I told myself what do I have to lose but these horribly embarrassing symptoms that won't go away.

So after work a couple days ago I stopped at the dollar store and purchased a large bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide & 2 packages of vinegar & water douche. I then went home to give a try.

When I got home I grabbed a bottle of water, emptied the contents of a new vinegar & water douche bottle and replaced it with a mixture of 50% Peroxide 50% water.

Immediately after I used the mixture the smell just vanished and my other symptoms started to subside. I was in a complete state of shock. I thought to myself, "Wow, to think something I kept under my sink as a medicinal staple could have cured me of this nightmare a long time ago."

All the money, antibiotics and over the counter treatments that didn't work that could have been avoided. Not to mention all the embarrassment from the smell you can't hide and everyone notices.

I am only two days into my first and hopefully last treatment and things are going well so far. By next week I am hoping to be 100% BV free. To make sure that happens, I was told to soak a tampon in plain yogurt and insert it in my vaginal area for 2-3 hours daily for 3-5 days to help replace the good bacteria in my vaginal area. I am to do this in conjunction with the peroxide & water mixture 2 times daily.

Once all the symptoms are gone to ensure it won't return I should and to continue with either an oral probiotic daily or yogurt to help maintain a healthy Vaginal PH Balance.

I have to say for the first time in a very long time, I'm starting to feel like myself again. Who knew after all the time, money and energy looking for relief that it could be so simple.

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS but ladies, I am here to tell you that hydrogen peroxide absolutely WORKS! I was reading this site yesterday, yes YESTERDAY, and went home and tried this and could cry at how fast I saw results. I've dealt with BV ever since I became sexually active at 17 and I'm now 23. During college, I had 2 other good friends who dealt with it as well and we stayed in the health center.

After being prescribed those disgusting pills 1 too many times, I decided to research BV and look for natural cures. There were lots and lots of trial and errors and sometimes I would even have to revert back to the medications when it got too bad but eventually I started to use ACV (apple cider vinegar). The key to BV is that you want to PREVENT it instead of curing it so after sex I would pee, wash with dove soap then swap the inside of my vagina with a Qtip soaked in ACV/water mixture. This worked very well for me! Where I was getting BV 3-4 times a year, I only had it once earlier this year.

In the past month I started to get a little slack on my routine. By Tuesday BV was back and I spent Wednesday and yesterday looking up cures. As I said, ACV has only help me prevent BV never cure it. So after reading countless testimonials I decided to give H2O2 a try.

I've always tried to avoid douching but at this point I was desperate and thought that my vajayjay was already outta whack anyway, why not rinse it out and start over? I bought a oral syringe from Rite Aid, used 3% H2O2 and made a mixture with half H202 and water. I filled the syringe (which holds 2 tablespoons) with the mixture, laid on my bed with a towel under me, tilted my hips up and inserted the mixture. I held it in for about 5 minutes, it bubbled a bit but didn't burn. Then I just let the mixture release from me. Within in 10 minutes I could fill the difference! There was less itching and discharge. I still had a little odor so an hour later I used the same mixture and soaked a tampon, inserted it and left it in for about 25 minutes. When I took it out, all the symptoms were gone!! I even swabbed the inside with a Qtip to make sure there was no smell and there wasn't! I couldn't believe it!

I heard H2O2 can cause pretty bad yeast infections so I ate a cup of PLAIN greek yogurt afterwards. H2O2 kills all the bad bacteria and it's important that we replace it with the good bacteria found in natural yogurts. I'm going to douche again today and tomorrow and I plan to eat a cup of greek yogurt everyday for the rest of my life lol. I will also take folic acid pills and get back on my strict routine for after sex! Swabbing the vagina with ACV and I will probably take ACV baths twice a month. Your diet plays a HUGE part as well so I will be cutting out lots of sugar especially sugary drinks.

I know my post is lengthy but I hope it helps someone! I know how annoying BV is and I've suffered with it for a long time and I'm so glad I tried H2O2 and mad that it took me so long to do so. Try this method! And good luck ladies!

I do not typically post on any website but after reading about using hydrogen peroxide to cure BV and trying it, I had to post. I took a douch and emptied the bottle. I filled half of the bottle with hydrogen peroxide and the other half with water. I mixed it up and used it as you would a typical douch. Already after the first use, I can tell a difference. The itching and burning has subsided majorly and the smell is gone so far. I haven't felt any discharge either. I plan to repeat the process for the next 2 or 3 days just to make sure its gone. I can't believe how well it works! I was so worried I was going to have to go to the doctor and be so embarrassed and have to buy expensive medicine. Thank God for this site ans hydrogen peroxide! Try it, it works!

I was starting to get so depressed with recurring BV. It started in 2012, and like others, I kept trying metro gel and it kept coming back. I'm very aware of how I smell and the status of things down there, so when I would notice a hint of that BV smell returning I would cry! I could never feel clean, and it was so embarrassing. That's when I found this site and started using the hydrogen peroxide. It completely takes away the odor and discharge. Mostly after one application for me! I will never take another antibiotic for this, and I'm so glad I have this cure in my arsenal. It works.
