Questions About Magnesium Citrate

Posted By Jacqui (Devon, Uk) on 03/02/2016

Hi, I've recently had a bout of UTI, with pain on left side of bladder, where the ureter enters. Yesterday, my borax arrived in the post and I made up a mix of 1 litre of filtered water with 1 x 5gram teaspoon of borax. I used a little boiling water to dissolve crystals first, then added the cool water.

A little later in the day I had a (TMI) moment. When I wee'd, I had a white 'thing' that looked like tissue, about one inch long and 1/3rd of an inch wide. Since then, no pain in bladder. I wonder if it could have been a de-calcified, or dissolved stone?

Also, a question for all you who do a powder magnesium citrate powder:- when you put the powder into water, does it stay cloudy and never clear, or does it clear? Mine stays cloudy and doesn't really taste of much at all. This makes me suspicious, because I read someones statement that, if it doesn't go clear, it isn't magnesium citrate, and also, that mag. citrate tastes horrible. I'm interested, because I don't want to take some substance that isn't what I think it is. Any clues? (It was purchased as Lab grade).
