What Is Your Advice on Blood Type and Coconut Oil Consumption?

Ted, I have a question? The eat right for your blood type suggest that I do not consume Coconut Oil, but I've been reading some really good feedback on it. What is your advice on this. I would really appreciate it.

Hello Joanne, I have some information on the Blood Type Diet. Coconut oil is high in Saturated fat and also Trans fats, which increases the risk of heart disease.. However Virgin Coconut Oil that has not been processed has less of these fats and are not as harmful as other oils containing the same Saturated and Transfats. People with type O blood, and we have 8 blood types, all have antigens or lack antigens on our red blood cells. Antigens trigger immunological reactions. One set of antigens are called A and B. People with type O blood do not have either A or B antigens on the red blood cells. Based on the outline of the Blood Type diet. Type Os should eat large amounts of animal protiens such as beef and chicken, but should restrict dairy. The theory is (I personally believe, after tons of research, this diet has no merit at all) people with type O blood will have undesirable reactions to coconut oil. But there is plenty of proof that coconut oil has countless health and healing benefits, especially for Thyroid problems, and it also increases the metabolic rate. This is one diet I will definitely bypass. Ann
