What Can Help BHT for Hepatitis C Overdose?

Posted By Nicole (Orlando, Fl) on 04/01/2016

Hi, I need some help PLEASE. Last Friday, I broke out with herpes while sick with the a bug, I also take methadone for chronic pain. Almost one week ago I took 2,000 mgs 4 250 mgs in the morning of bht, and then another 2,000 mgs in the afternoon, and then again 2,000 mgs in the evening.... I also have hepatitis C. I repeated this again on Sunday..... I started to feel extremely nauseous and shakey. I feel unsteady and unable to sleep very much or be able to do very much. Almost feels like withdrawals. The only thing I've done that seems to help relieve for a short time is Castor Oil poultice on my stomach and liver areas.

I almost feel as though I've poisoned myself.

PLEASE help ...it's now Friday the 1st of April.

I'm feeling very sick...thank you Nicole

Nicole: First, may I ask, why did you take an overdose of BHT? Who or where did you receive instructions for such a large dose?

To help rid the body of BHT, any of the following will help by oral administration: Activated Charcoal, Bentonite Clay, and any fiber supplement but especially Chitosan. These will help bind the excess BHT in the gut as it is secreted thru the bile from the gallbladder.

Drink lots of Water and Green or Black Tea.

Any natural substances, foods, or methods to stimulate bowel movements will help. Coffee enemas will help in the same way as a laxative. Here is a link to EC https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/enemas-and-colonics.html

Tim, thank you so much for your response. I can't believe I was such an idiot to take so much bht. On the 25th Mar, I was coughing, burning chest...also breaking out with herpes on my back and leg. I usually take Germanium (oxygenating mineral) with 500 mgs of BHT ...but I started reading how BHT can dissolve the lipid envelope or protein envelope around the Hep C virus (or any virus) then the body is able to get to the viral cell. So, thinking I was sick at the time...I thought let me try and increase BHT a little.

That was a very bad idea. The 2 days the 26th and 27th I ingested 6,000 mgs each day, I was feeling good. Then it all started...the intense nausea with tightness in the chest, (sort of an anxiety), palpitations, irritability and not sleeping well. Really felt like withdrawal, as I mentioned I'm a chronic pain patient and take methadone..

I just took some Turmeric (Activated Curcurmin) and it helped a bit with the nausea and tightness / anxiety in the abdomen and chest, but not for long. I will try the Activated Charcoal and Chitosan right now.

Tim, I can't thank you enough...I've been like this (unable to function) since the 28th Mar....and I'm getting a bit scared. I doubt if I went to my Primary doctor or even a hospital that they would even have any clue on how to take care of this.

I am grateful Tim, you're an Angel. :-)

P.S. Do you think vitamin E 2000 mgs would also be helpful in detoxing the BHT?

Thank you....Nicole

Sorry for the delayed response Nicole, as I am not 100% functional myself.

As for the Vit-E, it may help displace BHT from cells and then one could expect the gut to be loaded again so then do the Chitosan or A.C. Do note that most commercial or mass market E supplements are only one form of E which is usually d-alpha tocopherol. Vit-E is a complex of, I think, 8 different types, so for best benefits take a "full spectrum E" and take it with Selenium and CoQ10 (for best results). This combination will help eliminate Hep-C virusis as well as provide antioxidant protection and energy.

Back to the BHT overload; I have been using BHT for a little over two yrs for chronic active viral hep and for best results take either a few caps of Echinacea or St John'sWort about 15 minutes following the BHT. Lysine is also good for reducing viruses.

I am concerned that you may be using too much pain medicine also, is this a problem that needs addressing. Can you consider other pain reducing remedies?

Hope you are improving and do give a report as to your progress.

Again, Thank You Timh. I've been doing better, still feeling a bit queezy. I went to an M.D./N.D. last week and said I did everything right (as per what you advised, plus the castor oil packs). I also did the coffee colonic. The doc said he felt I had an extreme Herxheimer (spelling - die off)...I said yes, I almost died off. That was "INTENSE" to say the least!!

I'm going to get blood work done next month to see how the viral load etc. I'm curious, bcuz the chronic pain I have in my liver area has subsided some. Also noted that the amount of pain meds I was taking...is not as much. I don't know why, but that's a good side effect.

So, I would like to begin taking the BHT again, but I'm still a bit hesitant and as I mentioned, still a little queezy. I am taking a good Vit. E and Q10 and Selenium as suggested.

When I start the BHT again, what do you think would be a good dose and approximately how long?

Thank you! :)

Glad you're making progress and do wait till you get info on the diagnostics before doing the BHT again. The recommended dose is 250-350 mg 1x day w/ water between meals. I have made big progress with BHT for chronic active viral hep and back when really bad follow the BHT with either Echinacea or St John's Wort for best results.

Another item to consider is the possibility of gallstones. In this event, the liver gets toxic very easy as bile flow is reduced. That pain could suggest this issue.
