What Area of the Body Is the Tip of the Tongue Related To?

I just read that an area of the tongue can be related to another health problem in the body.... Can you tell me what area might be related to the point or end of my tongue? It has been sore for about 8 months. If eating anything sweet or acid it gets very sore, on the tip, for 3 or 4 days. Thanks for any help - this has been awful to experience and I find no answers anywhere. Ann
