Was My Reaction to Coconut Oil Use Die Off or Some Other Issue?

Posted By Nicky (Ny) on 02/08/2012

I have a history of candida and started using massive coconut (four five teaspoons a day) in my coffee and food. My mistake was that I didn't read the fine print and was using refined coconut oil instead of Virgin Cold Press CO. I started suffering from excruciating neck pains and insomnia and inability to breathe. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I thought it was the coconut clogging my arteries. I stopped and no longer feel ill.

I want to try using EVCO but want to know if my last symptoms were from die off or from the fact that the coconut oil was refined or some other issue. I had to stay home from work and would like to avoid that when using Virgin CO. I also want to know if thos eneck pains were part of the die off symptoms or something else.

Coconut oil causes blood pressure to go up and the symptoms you described were very likely from high bp. I would not risk taking it again without seeing a doctor especially because the neck pain can be a warning sign of a heart attack. Better to side with caution.

That is DIE OFF of the BAD BACTERIA dying from the coconut oil. I would just add it to your meals, starting with a small amount and working up.... It will only benefit you, otherwise, that BAD BACTERIA will get worse! Increase the amount of water that you are consuming and fruits and vegetables, that will also help with the die off and only take it initially for breakfast to start... taking it after lunch will probably cause you insomnia.
