Good day! Thanks for your great website and henlp, I have 5 Fybroids at my two breasts, 3 CM chocolate cyst at my left ovary and adenomyosis at my womb, what is the best was to take the Lugol's iodine? Is there anything else I can do or take?, I was reading some articles suggesting taking it alone and others suggest taking it with Selenium, Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamins B2/B3, niacin and Unrefined Salt

Hi S A....The complete Iodine protocol is laid out, in detail, in this document which was written by Stephanie Buist RN:

The Guide to Supplementing with Iodine

For uterine cysts you should, at the least, be taking of 5% Lugol's Iodine at 50mg per day(8 drops LI in water). But I have also read that you will get faster recovery if you increase your dosages to 100mgs LI per day. And when you start the protocol you should begin with a low dosage and work up to the advised dosage.

There are also two recommended forms of Lugol's Iodine that you can buy from the internet:

* 5% Lugol's Iodine(aqueous iodine)

* Iodoral(in 12mg or 50mg pill dosages)

And since you have cysts it might also benefit you to read this article for more information and a greater understanding of your problem:

Dear SA,

I treated my fibroids by using Lugol's and the companion nutrients you listed. They are now gone. I began taking one drop daily of 2 percent Lugol's iodine under the tongue. Over the span of 4 months, I gradually increased to 20 drops (I now put the drops in my water because the more I used, my tongue began to ache). I detoxed heavily due to my Western Diet, for all 4 months, hence, the reason I went slowly. I am not sure if this will be a problem for you. I will buy the 5 percent Lugol's next, now that I am taking so much, it will be more cost effective.

I use a Super B complex, which is all of the B vitamins in one, melt in your mouth, lozenge. I also use cod liver oil (I do not eat sea food) and magnesium, which you did not list. I am also treating myself for enlarged thyroid, so I am not sure if it is necessary, in your case, to use the companion nutrients. Maybe someone else here on EC can advise you on using the companion nutrients for treating fibroids. I know it worked for me, but I was also addressing other issues.
