Iodine for Hyperthryoidism in Cat?

Posted By Kate on 04/08/2008

Wonderful website you have. I read through your 3 pages on iodine, kelp etc. and was wondering for hyperthryoidism in a cat if you have seen iodine used? Thank you for any help or feedback you can give... Kate

I have been giving my cat a spray or two of 2% Lugol's in her food. I had some Solgar seleium laying around and she was eating it, so I added that to her food. She has gained needed weight and has become less aggressive. She asks for the iodine now and comes running the minute I open the selenium bottle.
