Could Iodine Have Caused My Symptoms and Should I Stop?

I have been on a roller coaster for a few weeks. I found a lump on my breast. After some research I realized I avoid most foods that contain iodine. I was pretty sure I was very iodine deficient. I bought thyroid support blend that contains kelp, Irish moss, eleuthero, gentian, fenugreek, and cayenne. Not sure on the individual amounts but 500 mg total. I took this for 2 days plus centrum for women. Contains 150mcg iodine and basic vitamines and 500 mg calcium. I also took the calcium I had been taking which was also 500 mg. I realized after the fact I was taking a lot of calcium and I was taking it at the same time as the iodine. The lump all but dissappeared!! However, I developed some sort of lump on my thyroid. I decided with the development of the lump to cut back on all the vitamins. I continued my centrum and add selenium and magnesium for a couple days. No improvement. I then decided maybe the centrum was not a good idea because the calcium. Because the parathyroid regulates calcium. So I then just took the thyroid support and the selenium and magnesium. I started experiencing some pretty extreme reactions to all this change. I felt like my bones where becoming porous. It hurt to walk, I was sweating and feeling generally uncomfortable. I had lots of energy but my body hurt to move. My mother had hyperthryoid. I suspect Grave's Disease but she's not sure about that. Her eyes protrude. Any way because she had that I thought I would check into it.

I decided to support my immune system because that's what graves is an immune system attacking the body. I started taking elderberry 4 times a day. For 2 days. I felt very sick had a 100.4 and considered going to the hospital. I decided I was ok enough to sleep that night and see how I felt in the morning. I went to lay down and the second my head hit the pillow I heard an audiable pop sound from my thyroid, which was feeling very swollen and was slightly visible from the outside. I felt warm liquid in my esophagus and then thoughout my body. My fever broke and I felt much better instantly. I am curious if anyone has any idea if this was just because I over did it. Or if I should avoid iodine from now on. I felt amazing for the first time in forever the first 2 days I took the thyroid support. Also, the skin issues that I have dealt with for a long time on my feet cleared up. I also started to have energy and loose some weight which hasn't happens ever since my 2 year old was born. She is my 4th and every other baby I have lost all baby weight without trying after 9 months. I would like to take iodine of some sort. I am just not sure if that cause the problem or something else. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Do you know the name of the thyroid support blend you used? I don't know what you did but it sounds like it worked. Can you explain further of any effects you found? Thanks.
