Dear Almarie,
I think that the minerals in Blackstrap are replacing the needed minerals in the hair. Blackstrap Molasses even helped our goats hair color to return to normal! It does not seem to help everyone; perhaps there are multiple causes of hair going gray. But it is a healthy addition to the diet for many people and worth a try!
