Hydrogen Peroxide Inhalation for Pulmonary Emphysema

Posted By Andreas Grebien (Germany/Ludwigshafen) on 03/21/2018

Greetings everyone,

I have an important question please:

A good friend from me is 75 years old and have a heavy pulmonary emphysema.

As his breath Performance got much weaker the days (Oxygen Saturation about 87-83%) we tried the Oxygen peroxid therapy.

Now the Oxygen Saturation is much better, but we have one new problem. He is much more phlegm as before the inhalations. He inhalates with a nebulizer three times a day. 5 ml destilled water and 1 ml h202 3%. (takes about 20-25 min) When he inhalates he has a oxy Saturation from 94 to 96%.

We tried now with additional sodium Chlorid 0,9% Inhalation to improve the phlegm situation, but only a little improvement.

The great problem in Germany, no doctors are common with Oxygen therapy so I hope somebody here can give me any suggestions.

would be very, very thankful!

best regards

Andreas Grebien

Andreas, I would think that the increase in phlegm is a good sign of things clearing out. That is my experience with inhaling h2o2. After a while it should get less and less.
