Dear Marilyn,

I do not know for sure the effect of coconut oil on the blood.

I used coconut oil (Extra Virgin Coconut Oil) for about a year for my thyroid. At that point I had some blood work done and found that my platelets were normal for the first time ever. I have tended to thin blood myself from a low platelet count. So, for me, coconut oil seemed to HELP with thin blood. But this is just me, I have nothing scientific to back it up.

Blackstrap Molasses is great for building the blood. I took a tablespoon a day in pregnancy for this and it worked so well for me!
