Coconut Oil and Puer Tea

Posted By Dana (Larose, La, USA) on 03/18/2012

I have been drinking puer tea for over a month and part of it's benefit is that it breaks down the fat you eat. I think thats how it works. Id' like to start taking coconut oil but I wondered if the tea would counteract the benefits of the VCO. Thanks for any help!

Tea never interact with coconut oil. Be assured they are not chemicalized drugs to interact, oil and tea both are natural stuff and would never harm. Just try to have a gap of at least 2 hrs. btwn consumption of tea and oil. And Googling or Surfing not always solves all of your problems. All the best.

I had a reaction to puer tea, but I think because I cannot take statins. Also, I was gardening in the heat. All of the potassium drained out of me and I was cramping up everywhere like I had lockjaw. I went to the ER and they prescribed potassium 10 ME Q. They also recommend I drink a sugar-free sports drink when gardening. I found out later I could have just eaten a banana and could have had a glass of orange juice and I would be fine. Be careful!
