Are Coconut Oil Capsules Effective?

Posted By Msbu (Houston, Texas) on 05/20/2012

I know that extra virgin coconut oil is what is recommended, but I find it very difficult to incorporate enough of it into my mother's diet. I thought I'd try the Coconut Oil Capsules from a major supplement manufacturer. Are these going to be effective for increasing my mother's brain function, specifically short term memory? And for my digestive problems with diverticulitis? Are the gelcaps beneficial at all?

Coconut oil sold in capsules is a waste of money IMHO as you'd have to take upwards of 45 PER DAY to achieve the amount necessary for a health benefit in an adult human.
