Tips requested for cat healing from two painful wounds

Posted By Colleen (Denver Colorado) on 08/23/2013

Hi there, any one know if there is a safe pain med for cats - my cat is recovering from huge 2 abscess very close to his butt and am guessing he may be in pain and would like to take the edge off for him if I can. (Almost a Koon abduction - but he fought him off). He won't eat or even drink much so I am forcing fluids and liquid food. He was in hospital for a few days till I could not afford that anymore. (thousands if he was to say until his wound healed. ) Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

Turmeric sprinkled on the food for the pain would work. To clean the wounds I would use GSEt and lavender oil mix. Couple of fingers of distilled water, 2 drops of GSE (grapefruit seed extract), 2 of drops of lavender in a glass, mix, dip cotton ball in and clean wound several times a day.
