kidney failure and loss of appetite in my dog:

Im hoping for any advice . one month ago my dog was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure. she has been on acupuncture every kind of diet and food that you could try and is also on anti nausea medications plus fish oil and also pepcid and carafate and receiving intravenous fluids. her blood values are improved but she continues to not want to eat and will sniff at her food or lick her lips and walk away and is starving herself. up until today her energy level was good but now with minimal nutrition except for syringe feeding i manage to get into her she is loosing her life force. at the same time she will try to run and greet the guy who lives next door that she loves. my heart is breaking . any information is appreciated. and yes i have tried raw diets tripe baby food and any thing else you could think of.

My dog is in Kidney Failure, I just got 'Milk Thistle' on the recomendation of five good hearted folks. It says It supports the Kidney & Liver. Don't know about it yet, been reading about it. Just started Shadow on it today. If anyone knows anything about it, would be most thankful.

Saw your request and wanted to let you know that wheat grass is what we are giving our dog and I really believe it is helping our dog. The product is called ":Amazing Grass" and this company supplies wheat grass grown through the winter and is in powder form. I put one scoop in with "Merrick" dog food (it's excellent food for dogs) I get it at Dogma ( I devide one can into 3 or 4 days worth) and then put dry food "Prairie" brand kibbles in her dog dish ). She's eating well and seems to be feeling better.. Hope this helps
