About Theresa

Theresa from Minneapolis was born and raised in the inner city, always wishing she had been raised on a farm.

Her love for creatures great and small began at an early age, starting with caterpillars - which continues to this day, along with an interest in all insects and 'creepy crawlies'.

Theresa's interest in pet health started with a bird keeping hobby at age 14, where she learned from another hobbyist that the simple addition of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) in a bird's drinking water kept fungal infections away; she was able to share this with her avian vet who in turn prescribed it to her own clients; Theresa was surprised to learn that she could teach her vet a thing or two. This important lesson - that each of us can be a teacher - was a turning point for Theresa, and  fueled  her quest for the knowledge held in lore,  and remedies passed by word of mouth. That quest for knowledge continues to this day, as new and old remedies alike are explored. She may not have experience with a particular issue, but she will research it to the best of her ability and share what she finds freely, in the hopes that you can heal or improve your pet's health.

Hey Wendyben!

Sorry to hear about your chihuaha and now your poodle.

In your shoes I would give your poodle the mixture every 2-4 hours - it is something to play by ear, depending on how much your poodle takes each time, and how she responds. I would for sure treat all the puppies even if they show no signs of illness. Keep up this regimen until the parvo runs its course - 2 weeks maybe.

Sending prayers for a successful outcome for you...

Hi Wendyben

I'm so sorry to hear about the death of one of your dogs and your Poodles + pups illness. I guess I'm going against the ethos of the site but I'm going to say it anyway. Parvo is a very serious, fast acting killer of dogs (especially pups) and I feel you need to treat this as an emergency and seek Vet treatment immediately. If you cannot afford it are there no local dog charities you could approach? In the UK (although not many people are aware of this) a Vet cannot refuse treatment in an acute emergency situation such as this just because the owner cannot pay up front, although they have a legal right to recover costs after treatment ie payment plan. How about calling your version

I'm sorry if suggesting convential medicine upsets this community, but Parvo is a very quick killer of puppies, and it's not the time to play around to see if holistic remedies might work. As adult humans we make a conscious choice to ignore conventional medicine and look for holistic alternatives. If faced with a fast acting killer disease we may well choose differently?? Your Pups can't make that choice and need you to act for them. If at all possible please see a Vet immediately.

Hey Lesley!

I DITTO your message.

I will say that I was very skeptical at first hearing about some of the remedies suggested knowing as you do how deadly parvo is and how rapidly it can spread. Yet users did effect cures using home remedies.

When your pocket is empty and going to the vet simply is not an option [in the US vets are not required to save a life], some activated charcoal and pedialyte with a huge dose of TLC beats doing nothing at all - and just might save the pet.

Hey Lesley ---- please, online, google Real Raw Food on to products to the end of the page. There you will find "Water Purifier". You will read that they gave their dog just a few drops and he was well. That was about parvo. It is MMS.

I am their customer and have the product at home. It is cheap and lasts long.

That would do it. Namaste, Om
