Need Guidance for Dog with Open Tumor

Posted By Leslie (Parkesburg, Pa) on 07/07/2016

For weeks now I have been feeding my English Pointer, Dorrie turmeric mixed with coconut oil for a mammary gland tumor that was the size of an orange. A few days ago, a small hole (about the circumference of a pencil eraser) formed on the side of the tumor...lots of fluid came out, very little blood...now the hole is about 2 inches in diameter and I can see this "stuff" inside of it. I have been putting turmeric w/coconut oil on and in the hole and keeping it covered. There is very little fluid coming out now...how do I proceed? Will the "stuff" eventually come out? The tumor is smaller than it originally was, however, it doesn't seem to be getting any smaller. Can someone give me some guidance? Thank you so much!

Theresa

The wonderful Theresa from Minneapolis, MN has been helping pet owners and their beloved pets around the world on Earth Clinic since 2013.

About Theresa

Theresa from Minneapolis was born and raised in the inner city, always wishing she had been raised on a farm.

Her love for creatures great and small began at an early age, starting with caterpillars - which continues to this day, along with an interest in all insects and 'creepy crawlies'.

Theresa's interest in pet health started with a bird keeping hobby at age 14, where she learned from another hobbyist that the simple addition of Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) in a bird's drinking water kept fungal infections away; she was able to share this with her avian vet who in turn prescribed it to her own clients; Theresa was surprised to learn that she could teach her vet a thing or two. This important lesson - that each of us can be a teacher - was a turning point for Theresa, and  fueled  her quest for the knowledge held in lore,  and remedies passed by word of mouth. That quest for knowledge continues to this day, as new and old remedies alike are explored. She may not have experience with a particular issue, but she will research it to the best of her ability and share what she finds freely, in the hopes that you can heal or improve your pet's health.

Hey Leslie,

If this were my dog I would have this thing removed surgically so that the tissue could be closed up and heal. It certainly is possible for this wound to eventually heal with the tumor tissue sloughing off bit by bit, but it will be work and lots of bathing to keep it clean and sanitary. So, surgery would be my short cut if it does not put your girl at risk. If you are concerned about any malignancies, I would keep up with the oral dosing.

Hey Leslie!

I am sorry your former vet gave you grief :( A good vet works with you, rather than taking the role of a dictator. A good vet recognizes that YOU are the primary care taker has the most qualified opinion. You might find a holistic vet here - the webpage is putzy and takes a while to load and you have to scroll down to see that it has loaded. But if you can get past the quirks of the website it has good info and 28 possible vets for you:

Please let us know how it goes - what you learn and share helps another in your shoes. Thanks!

I am taking her to a vet tomorrow. I first called my regular vet's office and they gave me so much grief I decided to take her somewhere else. We don't have any vets around here who believe in holistic medicine, so I am getting lots of judgement. I got off the phone with the vet and burst into tears.

Thank you! I will definitely share my story. Reading all the other stories on here is what gave me the hope and confidence to try holistic treatments/remedies.

Regarding your dogs ear tumor.

Look into bloodroot salve with chapparal aka brand name X I don't believe I can mention but it is by Gregg Caton herbalist presently in ecuador. Ask Gregg how to get to the old testimonials in the wayback machine for skin cancer. Gregcaton.com for his bio. I used the salve version and cured a basal cell carcinoma on my forehead. $49 2 months and 4 biopsies later proved the dermatologist to be wrong when he said "it's still there"

Greg's internal liquid solution killed a good portion of my sons brain tumor from the inside out. The MRI report said it in cryptic terminology. His surgeon would never agree.

Home made Hemp oil helped too. Which was better? Which worked? Which didn't? I don't know.

Burzinski's plan B (because the FDA didn't approve plan A for my son) shrunk the second tumor 26% along with the hemp oil he used, in about a month. The oncologist did not agree. Was convinced Burzinski is a quack. I believe he was determined to bury the evidence.

Unfortunately plan B included about 4 different chemo therapy drugs that targeted certain things and this was in addition to his red serum (forget its name) one of the chemo drugs had a warning for breathing problems (forget the wording) that could be fatal. Month 2 he was diagnosed by the oncologist as having respiratory distress which to medicine was incurable, said his fiance. I found 4 or 5 people in Canada that awakened on the respirator months later cured. The respirator choice for the respiratory distress, he said, would mean that we would never talk to him again.

He convinced my son's fiance to "make him comfortable" Code word (forensic coroner's words) for assisted suicide was best choice only my son wasn't asked if he wanted to be suicided. He was dead within 24 hours. Four people knew what was going on. I wasn't one of them. No autopsy was performed because one of the four, instead of granting my wishes to demand an autopsy, got the body released to the funeral parlor. Once you are shipped out of the hospital they won't you back for an autopsy said the hospital. I couldn't get and autopsy without paying a private forensic coroner $5000 at that time and it would be too late unless performed before the funeral parlor did its work.

I know this is gruesome. Maybe some body can find some good in here.

I discovered last month that cell phones are responsible for brain tumors new studies show. Nothing can bring back my only child, but somehow, I think, pursuing this legal avenue feels the right thing to do. Gives me a new purpose, perhaps my only purpose, for this life.

Sorry to be so irrelevant to the bleeding ear tumor. I wish I was allowed to give product names. I used it for a small basal cell carcinoma the size of a dime only two applications and 8 hours of pain. That was traumatic choice and the testimonial of a man in Australia with a tongue tumor with pictures convinced me that it worked and so I tried it. This is no longer on the site but is I believe still on the waybackmachine. Before the FDA got into the mix there were tons of other testimonials that it worked on the site.

Patricia

Please don't give up hope and get upset. I have a little experience with tumors. Go to your holistic vet, maybe have it removed as Thesesa said and give the best diet you can give, all raw and add turmeric, vitamin c 500mg 3x daily bath area half teaspoon calendula in cup warm water.
