Need Remedies for Wounded Calico Cat Attacked Outside

Posted By Louisa (British Columbia) on 03/01/2016

Feeling quite desperate about my 14-year-old Calico cat Phyllis. For the first time in her life she has become ill and I have neither the money or means to take her to a vet.

She must have been attacked by an animal about 4 nights ago while she was out (a lot of noise out back--I immediately brought her in). Nothing unusual until this morning when she didn't greet me when I got up, was very lethargic and refused a treat. Then I noticed some blood on her fur near the side of her neck. Sure enough, there is tenderness in the area. I'm familiar with infection (have had cellulitis several times) and fortunately (?) have 3 doxycycline capsules--100 mg each. I looked up dosage for cats online and have given Phyllis 1/8th of one in tuna juice using a dropper and will give her another dose later tonight. (I have enough for 6 days.) She has been asleep all day and isn't eating or drinking. I've attempted to cut off the fur in the affected area but still can't see anything. I will try swabbing the area with chamomile water and apply turmeric in olive oil tonight. Any other advice would be much appreciated. I have had her since she was a baby and she is my best friend!

Thank you!

I have consulted my homeopathic hand book. ARNICA MONTANA 30C for tissue trauma and separately ACETIC ACID 30C for listlessness . The nervous system is also involved as of shock, so AM will be very useful. I have had many rescue cats and have healed many abscesses with homeopathic meds. Your treatment is useful so far.

If you want support my e-mail is omtatsath (at) gmail.com. Namaste, Om
