My dogs horrible open elbow wounds

My dog has horrible open wounds on her elbows! Surgery didn't work, stitching dint hold it, staples! Conventional meds have not helped her. Has anyone been able to conquer this?? She's very dependent on her front legs, getting up and down. My whole floor is dog beds for her to have a soft landing and she wears DogLeggs. Just not healing! My vet says nothing more he can do for them so, I'm trying other, wholistic things. Very difficult situation. She's 11.

Wanda, could you try lots of turmeric? It has such a fabulous reputation. Of course, everything might turn chrome yellow but what the heck! We have to heal doggie. You might alternate with coconut oil. I have many pets and this is what I have used with good results. Hope this will be useful. Om
