Elderly Cat With Tooth Infection

Posted By Stephanie (Long Valley, Nj) on 07/25/2023

I have a very old cat, with failing organs, but he's still hanging in. He has a long lingering ear infection, and now, this week, he has a tooth infection. I have to treat him at home. What is safe to help heal the infection in his mouth? He doesn't drink anymore, I syringe a tiny bit of water into his mouth many times a day and night. He only will eat a very little bit of soft food, a few times a day, for the past year, and any intervention, like a tiny bit of colloidal silver, or a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar, in the syringe with water, he will always throw it up about a half hour later. What is safe for a tooth infection? I don't have access to antibiotics. Thank you.
