Seeking Remedies for Dog With Laryngeal Paralysis

Posted By Bev (Pa) on 02/14/2017

Hi, I don't see anything about Laryngeal paralysis! My 14 yr old has this and I would like to know what I can give him to help. Thanks!

I am seeking help for this diagnosis too... For months now, my 11 year old Black Lab/Red Hound X has begun to exhibit vocal changes, panting, cough/gagging (after trying to sing with piano - which he always loved)

The diagnosis is still pending, with the Vet trying to rule out heart/lung problems, and mass /node in throat...And even cat allergies. In the meanwhile I have been giving him all these supplements twice daily with success enough to give him noticeable relief : COQ10 (200mg), magnesium 200mg - with a good kidney remedy to help flush magnesium, An Essiac-type formula, Hawthorn for heart, and lots of turmeric capsules - at least 600mg. I mix all in wet cat food with a tablespoon of ACV. He gobbles with no problems... If I miss his dose, his loud panting lets me know. I give this many different supplements, because I had to intervene for all the possibilities...It hasn't hurt him! But if anyone has some good suggestions please let us know what may help our old pups. Thanks in advance!
