Dog may have possible broken jaw

My 14 year old dog fell off of the bed last night onto our wood floor. One of his teeth came out and he picked it up in his mouth. I was able to get it and throw it away. I gave him an over the counter low dose muscle relaxer and today he is of course, not feeling well and oozing some watery, yellow discharge. I broke up a penicillin 500 pill in half and then quartered it and gave it to him this morning. Do you have any other suggestions on what to do? His health has been failing and I know it is time to have him put down, but I wanted to know if there was anything I could do for him right now. P. S. He won't eat or drink right now. I haven't tried a dropper yet, but I will soon if he doesn't drink anything. Thanks!!

Dear Typingnut, If your dear dog goes much longer without drinking water, please add some food grade diatomaceous earth (DE), a tsp or two to a cup of water, perhaps with a little raw honey mixed in, and give with a syringe. The clay in the DE is healing, and pulls out toxins from the body. After the first couple of syringings, try adding a little raw apple cider vinegar (ACV) to the mix, perhaps 1/2-1 tsp. to a cup of water. Shake the bottle first. ACV provides minerals, as do DE and honey, and is antiseptic. You may find DE at a feed store, but make sure it is labeled Permaguard (if I may say that, Earth Clinic?), which is approved by the FDA as food grade. DE may be ordered online, and has quite a following of dedicated users both for people and pets. Alternatively, a local health food store may carry Bentonite clay, which requires more care to hydrate, as it clumps readily. Your dog will do fine fasting for days with water, DE or clay, and honey and ACV. It is natural for animals in the wild to fast when they are unwell. Please refrain indefinitely from putting him down. If it is his time to go, he will pass on peacefully at home, with God's Grace.

Dear Typingnut, A further note for your dear dog--After a few days, I suggest adding some gently melted, liquid unrefined virgin coconut oil to the warmish syringe solution with the food grade diatomaceous earth (DE). It is healing and strengthening, and is said to aid in absorption of calcium and magnesium.
