Chihuahua papillion with cushings

My chihuahua/papillion, Raphael 13yrs, was diagnosed with cushings approxiamately 3-4 yrs ago. He was put on Trilostane but was not good about taking the pills. I am looking for a less "offensive" way to treat him. He weighs about 9# ang if he even smells meds he won't have anything to do with them. The only real symptom he has is thirst. He also has a prolapsed trachia that occassionally acts up. Makes it hard to give him meds. Any suggestions please?!

My chi won't ever take a pill by itself. Our vet reccomended feeding a piece of a hot dog or some chicken/ beef and placing the pill inside of it. She takes her pills all the time now.
