Can I Use Hydrogen Peroxide for Ear Mites?

Posted By Darptal (Philippines) on 12/02/2015

Interesting topic; I am seeking help and wondering about diluted peroxide to clean the dogs ears?

I live in the Philippines and vets are not so common as in the states. I have several dogs and one has gotten the "coffee grounds" in his ear.... A telltale sign of mites as well. Continued scratching and shaking of the head... Poor baby looks miserable! Looking for a safe cleaner and or remedy. Hydrogen peroxide diluted is what the doc in the states used to clean my kids ear...what do you think?

Mineral oil on a cotton ball, swipe in ear, clean out - mites suffocate. Do this weekly till problem solved. Then monthly as a preventative.
