Can apple cider vinegar help stinky neck and face of cat

Posted By Jo (Colorado) on 04/24/2015

One of my cats absolutely stinks of chicken poo around his face & neck. It's possible he has been rolling in the neighbours chicken pen - & he did come home earlier in the week very wet on his head & back, not so much on his stomach so I thought maybe he had been bugging the chickens & received a "warning shot". He loves to snuggle up and rub himself on your nose & chin, but we can't stand to get close right now. I have tried washing him with no tears shampoo, (gained plenty of scratches) & followed up with a washcloth, but still no improvement. Not sure if this is an ACV problem, but hoping someone can help me get rid of the smell! Have removed his collar. (I used ACV for ringworm on some foster kittens I had & it worked better than the sulphur dip the vet was using on his fosters! ) BTW to remove pine sap, rub flour into the sap until it makes a lump, then wash with no tears shampoo, or "friendly" dishwashing soap.

Back to my problem - any suggestions PLEASE!??
