Apple Cider Vinegar for Elderly Dog with UTI

Posted By Carol (Pennsylvania) on 12/28/2015

I have a 15 yr old female dog has uti. She had one last year. She saw vet last week - all bloodwork came back normal. She is on clavamox for 10 days for uti. She does get 1/2 crananidin daily. She also now gets 1-2 tiny, tiny bits in her food daily and she gets am and pm organic plain yogurt.

I have been giving her 1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar am and pm in her food today is day 6..... How long should I continue Apple Cider Vinegar and should I give her Apple Cider Vinegar daily forever? Help!!!!!

I read your puppies issue with uti's. I may not know about that however, I have a 15 year old Terrier mix and I started giving her 1/3 teaspoon Organic Coconut Oil 2 x's a day and it has made a tremendous difference in her sparkle in her eyes, her mobility and I don't think her coat could be any shinier. The oil is suppose to do an array of things that we can't necessarily see. You might want to consider looking into it. It also, helps with signs of dementia in older pups. Hope this helps.
