2 month old puppy diagnosed with leptospirosis

Posted By Charisse (Philippines) on 04/12/2015

Hi. I've got a 2 month old shih tzu puppy who's been diagnosed having a leptospirosis. However, he is still fighting against his condition. We are not convinced that he has the said disease. He is still eating, just a few compared to usual pooping normally and walking a lil bit okay. What concerns us the most is his huge bloated stomach, mild yellowish skin color and sometimes he acts abnormally or so weak. Can anyone please help me? He means so much to me :(

Hi, so sorry to hear your puppy is ill. I'm afraid I have no advice as to treatment, others on the site will offer advice, I'm sure. I just wanted to say that if the vet is correct and the pup has leptospirosis, to be very careful as people or other animals could get the disease from the puppy. I hope he recovers quickly.
