Will Apple Cider Vinegar Aggravate Other Conditions?

Posted By Carolina (Henderson, Nv) on 10/01/2015

Hello. In regards to using Apple Cider vinegar, I've been reading alot about its variety of uses. So I just bought some Organic ACV. My wife and I both have sinus infections and I have chronic sinusitus.

My concern about drinking it even diluted is I have acid reflux and constant nausea due to other conditions. Should I just use the other ways other then drinking it. How effective will it be? Also my wifes is about a week along with zero treatment. Any suggestions for us?

Dear Carolina,

I don't know for sure if the Apple Cider Vinegar would bother you....

Apple Cider Vinegar is often helpful for digestive issues. I have used it for heartburn, reflux, indigestion, gall bladder troubles, vomiting, etc.

So, if you want to try it, start with less, though because everyone is different.

For sickness, we like vinegar tea. 1 Tablespoon each of honey and ACV plust 6 ounces hot water. But start with 1 teaspoon of each. It is really spicy but helpful.

For sinus infections we also do the following:

Avoid dairy as it is mucous forming.

Take Extra Vitamin C.

Use a Neti Pot with a solution of boiled water, sea salt and hydrogen peroxide. Wow, that has brought some amazing relief for my family. Here is more information.

We also make a lot of soups (not dairy) and add a lot of fresh garlic when we are sick with the flu or sinus infections.

I hope you feel better soon!
