Wifes misdiagnosis led to severe lung damage

Posted By Troubled Heart (Kansas City, Missouri, Usa.) on 12/05/2011

THIS POST IS FOR ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

FELLOW VISITORS TO EARTH CLINIC,

My wife had a wrong diagnosis and it has resulted in a seriuos problem for her and for the entire family. My wife had pneumonia and the doctor diagnosed TB and gave her TB treatment for many months. The treatment never worked. Within this period, the pneumonia attacked her lungs. X-ray result shows that her lungs have "washed out" according to the doctor, and even there are holes in her lungs. One lung is worse than the other. And she has a serious pain in her chest, under her left breast. The blood test that she did showed no sign of infection, but she is still coughing much and she has no strength. She has lost a lot of weight, and she is still losing more weight. She eats, but there is no sign that she eats, because she is losing weight regularly. The test for HIV AIDS was negative.

Please, does anyone know what can help my wife? My wife is still young - 49 years old and I don't want anything to happen to her. Her condition is more than I can represent on this page. Please, the doctors, the chemists, the herb practitioners, the alternative medicine practitioners, the homeopathic doctors and all other visitors on this site, please, help me with answers. And as you do so, may GOD richly bless you.

This mis-diagnosis took place in Africa, not here.

I am anxiously awaiting your answers.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!

Hi Troubled Heart, have you let your wife tried hydrogen peroxide inhalation therapy? You can look at this site for the procedure. Another technique I used on my hubby when he is having episodes of difficulty with breathing and coughing fits is put hydrogen peroxide with water in an ultrasonic atomiser and just let him inhale it and it relieved him immediately. I mentioned this because my hubby was sick with pneumonia a few years back and so he has breathing problems now at the slightest exertion or onset of flu and he had no problem with the hydrogen peroxide whether via spray or humidifier. Her coughing may be due to acid reflux as does my hubby and not viral or bacterial so no sign of infection.

Have her take apple cider vinegar (look at this site too for various ways of taking it) directly or capsules as it has also helped my hubby with his acid reflux coughs. Try also the flaxseed tea mentioned in one of the latest posts here for coughing. Hope your wife gets better soon. You can never go wrong with natural remedies as they are food and not chemicals. Oh if you are taking the hydrogen peroxide inhalation it is worth getting food grade if you can find it otherwise look for one that has no stabilizers. God bless.

If your wife start to take cayenne and garlic everday, the lungs will regenerate over time. Phlegm, will come out in the first few days, and a definite improvement seen in a couple of weeks. At least two cloves of crushed raw garlic ingested after a ten minute wait after crushing, and you can smear the cayenne into butter to make it more palatable. It works for cleaning up the lungs in long time smokers as well.

Troubled Heart, consider strengthening the immune system and lungs with Zinc, Vit-A, and Astragalus Root. A. R will raise body temp 2 degrees so do not give if she is already running high temp, otherwise this combination (taken as directed on label) will put her back on her feet in a few days. To rebuild injured lungs consider Magnet Therapy, Raw Lung Glandular, and Comfrey Root or Leaf (don't use comfrey for more than 30 days without a 30 day pause).

Troubled heart.. I suffer with lung congestion, and I have used the castor oil packs from Edgar Cayce's readings to ease the pain under my breasts, and it does help. Please get the info from this site to know how to apply this very inexpensive remedy. My prayers for her and your relief and healing are lifted-up.

Hi Lanos,

Please, explain. Is Edgar Cayce readings a book or a store to buy the castor oil pack from? What is it? Is it pill or is it a patch? And how is it used? Is the patch placed on the breast or what? And how often is it used. Please, if you really wish to offer help, tell me how you used it so that my wife can try it the same way.

I am waiting to hear from you.

Thank you and GOD bless.

Castor oil packs are a home remedy that works great for removing toxins from within the body. All you will need is a large piece of flannel material, some castor oil, and some old clothing to wear over the top. You fold the material until it is long and about the width of the ribcage. Pour enough castor oil over the center of the material to coat it. Your wife should wear this over her lungs and under the old clothing. I usually wear a tight tank top over mine to make sure it stays put. She can wear it for 30 minutes or even better if worn over night. Then you take the material and put it in a ziploc bag for the next night. Just add a little more castor oil with each use. I use an old flannel pillow case which is perfect for the torso.

To Broken hearted, .. Sorry for leaving out how to use the castor oil packs. I noticed that Jen from Bozeman, Mt. Posted a very good description on how to do it. You can also type in "castor oil packs" in the EarthClinic search place on top, to get additional info. I sometimes put saran wrap over the flannel pack, and use a heating pad on it for about 20 mins. I pray the Lord will send healing to you. Pray with all faith.

I read about your wife's symptoms. My 35-year old daugher was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis and Non Tuberculosi Microbacterium (NTM), which are commonly misdiagnosed for years. It is also referred to as "Lady Windmere Disease". Her symptoms started when she was about 30-years old, feeling unusually tired, colds lasting a long time, no appetite, and losing weight. She went to several doctors and pulmonologists, which misdiagnosed her for years. Eventually she coughed up blood, and went to a well-recommended pulmonologist who diagnosed her. Unfortunately, the damage that was done to her lungs from not being properly diagnosed is irreversible, as the 2 infections which are present in her lung now require extensive antibiotic treatment to kill them. She is on several antibiotics, probiotics, and saline inhalation treatments. If your wife is diagnosed with this, please find a pulmonologist and infectious disease doctor who know how to treat it. The National Jewish Health Hospital in Denver, Colorado, treats this disease and can formulate a treatment for her. Also, the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, has active research studies and treatment available. This is a devastating disease that affects usually tall thin women in their 50's/60's; however, although my daughter is genetically tall and thin like me, she was only 30 when the symptoms started. They have tested her for cystic fibrosis, and for any genetic or hereditary factors, but to this date there is no explanation. Life expectancy is approx. 15-20 years with proper treatment. There is no cure, but there is the possibility of killing the present infections, and trying to keep her infection-free, thus not adding to the present lung damage. I pray this information is of help to your wife.

You may want to get her heavy metal levels checked. Doctor's Data has kits to do a fecal test. Mercury poisoning can cause some of those symptoms.

I was diagnoised with Lady Windermere syndrome four years ago but refused the antibiotic treatment which consist of 4x a day high doses of three antibiotics for 18 months. I decided the cure would kill me. My right central lobe is collapsed and for a while I was coughing blood. I've been pulling oil, taking collial silver and Apple Cider Vinegar for a about three months and I'm feeling better, coughing less and no blood. I'm going to try hp in a nebulizer. My doctor supported my decison to not take the antibiotics because he was worried I would develop resistance and lose the otherwise good health I have had. My disease is a combination of bronchiectasis and MAC. It's fairly rare and I would love to hear from anyone else with the same diagnosis. Thank you, Bree

Dear Bree from Ohio, I am 57 and have been diagnosed with bronchiectasis and atypical tb which I believe is the same thing as the MAC you mentioned. It has been with me since April 2008. Like you, I have chosen not to take the strong antibiotics. Taking antibiotics that long is not at all good. I have a friend that had the same thing years ago, took the prescribed 2 years of antibiotics, and is now very old. These antibiotics have a side effect that caused severe tendon damage that still causes her a lot of pain. I have tried hydrogen peroxide with no success. My lungs are very heavy. I am now trying the essential oils (thieves oil formula). I don't know yet if it will work. Believe me when I tell you, if it does work, I will be back on this forum to post it under the lung section. Best of luck to you. I would welcome hearing from you.
