Why Do Carbs, Even Carbs in Low Amounts, Cause Edema in My Legs and Feet?

Posted By Gayle S (Mississippi) on 11/01/2020

Has anyone experienced carbs causing edema in lower legs and feet? I've been on a low carb diet for over 3 years. Lost a lot of weight and went lower than I wanted to (114 pounds) so decided I'd eat a few more carbs. I'm only eating around 25-35 carbs a day and noticed my lower legs and feet swelling up. Does anyone know why this is happening?

My A1c is 5.5 and glucose readings average 87-91. I am type 2 diabetic and have been for over 32 years. Any comments would be very appreciated.

I feel compelled to encourage you to go to youtube and watch Eric Berg on the topic because he has helped me understand cortisol and digestion. I watch him for other people to find solutions too and learn lots of new things all the time. I also follow healers online. Mark Hemans and John Mellor. Most things change with consistent application and not a one shot solution. May you have a month of things to be thankful for, Blessings, Charity
