What Would Cause a Pins and Needles Feeling in the Face?

Posted By Hisjewel (New York) on 06/14/2017

Greetings EC,

This question may well be a tough one to answer. Does anyone know how to cure the pins and needle feeling in the face? Last summer when I first felt it I thought of it as a burning face. And some where I got the idea to wash my face with baking soda water. which was a help but not a cure. it calmed down the feeling quite a bit,

I never experienced this feeling until last summer, and I wonder if it was connected with the shingles problem. Winter came and I forgot about the face pins and needle feeling. But the temperate reached 100 degrees in New York Yesterday and there it was. Maybe it never left.

Does anyone know the real cause of burning or pins and needle feeling in the face, and does anyone have a cure?

Hello, you have probably pressure on the occipital nerve. you need to attend a skilled ostheopath to check your neck and in one treatment you can feel relief that its gone.

Thank you Malka,

That is very possible, because I usually fall asleep while sitting.

I will check into this. Guess that means I have to go to the doctor. Well it is time for my checkup anyway. if I get there I will post the results.

Thanks so much,

Re, Pins and Needles in face....

My guess (and mystery stuff I always first suspect) ....virus. But since baking soda helped it could be a condition I experience years ago which was a skin reaction to too much acid in my food...too much tomato, chili, hot peppers etc. My face started burning and I used aloe vera gel to apply as if it was a burn. In ten applications the pain was gone.

But assume it is not a skin reaction to acids...then I guess next a virus of some kind and I'd try colloidal silver applied topically...try six applications over a day and see if any better. If improved do the CS thing for a week and maybe the virus is killed.

BTW; it's not shingles unless the pain is on one side....shingles will be on one side of the hemisphere....of the body I mean.

Thanks Dave of Fountain Inn, Sc

I searched several sites and could not find a solution. I then knew it was time to ask EC. I will try the Aloe Vera first.

PS:

Even though I have been keeping the Aloe Vera on through the night, I have read that 20 minutes is enough less some get a temporary color hue situation when using the colorful aloe.

Greetings Dave of Fountain Inn, SC

The Aloe Vera worked for the pins and needle or burning feeling in the face. What I wanted to do is get a fresh leaf, but did not have the time. My schedule has been quite long the last two weeks. However, I had been eating it like a medicine earlier this year along with my mother. (I did not want to give her something I had not tried) it was for her gums and worked well, but the CO-Q10 did even better for her gums.

I had some left over frozen sliced leaves, and half of a bottle of the (health food store glass jar) of Aloe Vera gel just sitting in the refrigerator waiting for another turn. I put the gel and sometimes the frozen leaf on my face when I come home, and rinse it off in the morning. Upon putting it on, if feel a skin tightening effect which I soon forget about.

Yesterday was the real test, had to go to the laundry and the heat build up from pulling the cart down and up the stairs had me sweating, and my face did Not burn, No pins and needles.

Glory to God!

I tried this one, but thanks to all who have suggested remedies.
