What remedies can help my child from constantly burping

Posted By Shabbir (Malawi) on 05/12/2015

I have my daughter who is turning 7 years this month. Recently from December 2014, she has been constantly burping, especially after food doctors here prescribed her Omeprazole, Gaviscon, Rinatadin but the burping didn't go away until last month. We got a gastroscopy done where by she has acid reflux because her sphincter valve is loose. Doctors say she will need to go for anti reflux procedure where by the most common side effects are that the stomach becomes small and she will never be able to vomit again and the third side effect is that the sewing they do in the procedure could loosen up in future. Meantime, she is taking nexium tablet 20mg in the morning and 20mg in the evening and the burping is still there after taking nexium tablets her appetite has increased but the burping hasn't stopped and recently I have noticed that when she burps she gets the feeling of food in her throat.

Please advise what are your views and if you think the ACV can be effective on her.

Hello Shabbir:

Re daughter's reflux.

Obviously something happened in December of 2014 or just prior to that...a stomach infection perhaps? Or sudden onset food allergy? Likely milk products are often the culprit. Well whatever, now she has reflux and that can effect sphincter.

Apple Cider Vinegar (a teaspoon in a glass of water) is renowned on this wed site for helping with reflux. Twice daily might give you some indication of whether ACV could help. Dr. Jarvis' book "New England Folk Remedies" put ACV "on the map" decades ago. He discusses the use of ACV with children. The question is: Did the reflux caused sphincter problem or the sphincter cause the reflux? And next... if the reflux were helped would the sphincter self correct?

Children are very susceptible to parasitic infestations because their compulsion of hand-to-mouth and proximity w/ pets.

First signs of parasites is digestive disorders. Here is a list of herbs that can eradicate these P: BlackWalnut/Clove/Wormwood (combo), Garlic, Oregano, Neem, Oregon Grape. These herbs will also irradiate most other type pathogen which are also common in digestive problems. Foods to increase is Figs & Pinapple. Foods to decrease is sugar & milk. Digestive Enzymes and/or Probiotics will also help.

You may also try an otc pharma-grade med like Reece Pinworm, or Pyrantel Pamoate as generic equivalent.
