My favorite topical l-lysine ointment is by Basic Organics. It will heal the area and can act as a barrier cream that will only improve your lips and surrounding tissue. I am trying Baking Soda tooth paste from Arm and Hammer and am not using any product having petrolem jelly, it helps.
