Feeling Unwell Since May, Temperature Higher and 4 Day Migraine

Posted By Chicken Mama (Outside Memphis) on 09/23/2017

I haven't felt will since May. Just feeling unwell, nothing in particular. I've been running warm, a degree and a half above my normal. Had a sinus infection last week and on antibiotics, but still run ning warm and not feeling well. I've had a migraine for the last 4 days which my imitrex and hydrocodone haven't helped at all, not even a little bit. I eat well--only my own home-grown chicken, veggies and eggs. Nothing artificial or pre-prepared. I take supplements, good quality multivitamin +plenty of vit C, D3, the B's, etc.

I don't know what to do for this. Suggestions?

Please get a headache like checked out. Sometimes it is a symptom of something that needs medical attention. Sometimes it is high blood pressure. Brain bleeds, aneurysms and growths can also first manifest as a headache that won't go away.

RE: migraine and feeling unwell--I am under the care of a neurologist for chronic migraine. That's how I get a hydrocodone tablet every so often. He seems to think the fever, etc, is unrelated to the migraine and that the migraine can just take imitrex and hydrocodone or, if I need further treatment, then get on anti-seizure meds (I was on them for years before weaning off them, just for migraine control). Since obamacare, all of my drs seem to not really care to pursue root causes but only want to prescribe more meds. I am on my own.

Dear Chicken Mama,

Well perhaps the fever is related to a current virus? When we don't know what virus is we use these things:

vitamin C

Zinc

Astragalus Root

Aspirin

And coconut oil. Amazing antiviral. up to 3 T. a day, but start more slowly as it bothers some people to take that much fat, even of a good fat.

Have you tried feverfew herb daily for migraines?

A lady recently posted that coconut water daily helped her a lot with migraines. Perhaps from the minerals. I think a lot of health issues are caused by nutritional deficiencies, even in people that eat well and take care of their health. And things like RO water, which are use to avoid contaminated waters can actually cause significant mineral depletion and thus health problems.

Another thought would be nettle. My daughter used to get regular migraines (in addition to several other health problems.) We had her taking nettle capsules daily for months, plus home made milk kefir. Since then her headaches are much less frequent and severe. (This was just a side benefit of it seeming to be the solution for her asthma and possible JRA.)

I hope you find a solution soon!
